I don’t usually leave reviews but i had to for this place. I ate at Tru Island Grill today and it was really good, service was fast, the food had great flavor and everything tasted fresh. The staff were friendly and the place had a nice vibe. I’d definitely recommend the brown rice with fried pork, it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I’m definitely planning to go back. DONT forget the sauce it adds to the flavor of the rice and pork. Definitely would give this a try...

As an assessment manager walking into a brand new establishment, I was warmly greeted by Tina. She kindly took my order and listened carefully to how I wanted my meal prepared. She graced me with two onion sauces that she wanted me to try. I will just say, delicious. The griot was fried to my liking. The Djon Djon (black rice), superb! Keep up the great work, Tina!
