Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Delta Charter Township

Tasty subs, scary kitchen.

A couple months ago I went in on my lunch from work at about 2-3pm.

There was one woman working and she was on the phone telling a catering customer the food was running a little late. I'm guessing someone didn't show up.

I order my sub. I see her grab a bun that's just laying out on the counter and then starts cutting the meat and cheese on a meat slicer that is littered w food scraps. I can tell it's been there for some time.

I take my sub back to work and eat 3/4 of it hoping it doesn't make me sick.

I go in again this last week. It's shortly after 2pm. Three people working. I go to place my order and it doesn't look like the meat slicer has been cleaned all day. There are meat scraps all over and some are fairly well dried out, so they've been there awhile.

The health department will tell you food cannot be out more than 3 hours, cumulatively, between 40 degrees and 140 degrees. That is called the danger zone.

So this meat slicer has been growing bacteria at an exponential rate, quite possibly for hours.

Not only is the slicer contaminated, so is every meat and cheese that's been cut with it.

Scary stuff guys. Thankfully I wasn't working that day and went somewhere else.

Every other place I have ever went like this the meat slicer, cutting board are immaculent. Bread is pulled from a bag and not just left out on the counter in the middle of the afternoon.

The food here is EXCELLENT! However the staff is some of the worst when it comes to service. I have never experienced such poor service in my life. I was the ONLY one in line BOTH of the recent times I went there and it literally has taken over 15 mins to get in and out. As you watch 5 employees pace around, one is preparing the sub the other go to the back and snack. Once the one fi wishes putting the meat on the bread she then hollers to the other in the back who's stuffing her face to come out and finish the sub as of she couldnt just move along. This is when the other 3 come to the counter and two stand uselessly as one prepared the sub. Then I hear the manager (I believe) give another woman waiting for her food a bunch of attitude stating "you see were making your sub you don't need to stand there n make rude faces" and the lady hadn't even said ANYTHING AT ALL. lol just a joke for staff..not sure I'll return to this location as at Subway your in and out, they're kind, and efficient. Hopefully someone higher up addresses this staff and the lack of quality...

I recently visited Jersey Mike's, and I must say, my experience was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and exceptional customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work, which made the whole experience feel welcoming.

The sandwich I ordered was delicious, made fresh right in front of me with high-quality ingredients. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it definitely shows in the taste of their food.

Another noteworthy aspect was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The dining area was spotless, and I was particularly impressed by the condition of the bathroom. It was not only clean but also well-stocked and maintained, which is often overlooked in many establishments.

Overall, my visit to Jersey Mike's was a delightful experience. Great food, outstanding customer service, and a clean environment make it a place I will definitely return to....
