Stopped by the drive through to get some breakfast. I ordered a carnitas taco, sausage egg and potato w/cheese , and a beef egg and potato. When I got it, the beef looked very questionable, like a freezer burned texture, and the beef and the “sausage” tacos smelled horrible, like rodent excrement. The carnitas looked fine, and smelled ok, but tasted extremely bland. It was in desperate need of a lot of salt. The sausage and egg was mostly egg, with teeny bits of sausage cooked into it. The cheese was on the carnitas but whatever, no one gets your order right anymore. I’m concerned that the health department really needs to look into this place because literally the smell and look of the sausage taco and beef taco seem like they had some big problems. Needless to say I threw those two in the trash. $11 for those 3 tacos and I could only barely eat the carnitas.

I'll never come back to eat again. The chicken enchiladas had dry and bland chicken with cartilage. No flavor, seasonings, or herbs when it was boiled. The sour cream curdled on my enchiladas so it had texture of cottage cheese. The beans were bland, they must not use any kind of oil to fry them or lard to cook them. Maybe they are just boiled and mashed. No salt in anything. The rice did have some flavor but it was cumin which is just weird. Chips are soaked in old oil that tasted like it was a few days old. And the tomato sauce is just blended up pico. Bland again. I don't think there's any salt in the kitchen. TACO DINNER PLATE DOES NOT INCLUDE TORTILLAS. So how do you eat tacos?

Absolutely love Casa Galaviz! My favorite has to be the huevos rancheros! The salsa is served warm and typically best poured over the eggs. Toss in the fried potatoes, retried beans and the homemade flour tortillas and it’s absolutely incredible! This place has been here 34 years and it’s been amazing every time! Love this place and will always keep going back!

If you are wanting the typical, homogenized "Mexican Food" experience, please don't waste your time and please get out of the way for the rest of us. This ain't Taco Bell or even Torchy's. This is an authentic and small family restaurant with homemade food made by the owner and their family members. The food is real and just like when you cook at home, sometimes the meat has fat and sometimes the consistency is different from day to day. Shocking I know! The barbacoa is the real deal with the correct seasoning and homestyle like it's made in hispanic homes all over Texas. I know because my 70 yr old father-in-law makes it just like this, but really Joe's might be better. Don't tell my family. The tortillas are hand made and some of the best around. The other items are usually authentic and flavorful. Prices seem fair... but sometimes cost go up... They aren't buying in bulk here. The food is traditional and basic. No one goes here and is expecting fancy ingredients or combos. As far as service: Yes, sometimes the owner takes too long talking to the regulars. Please note... they have REGULARS! A lot of people go every day and/or every week to eat here and it is a community. That speaks volumes. This isn't the fake Starbucks experience where they ask your name for the cup... If you go enough the owner, Joe, might know your face... maybe if you are lucky he actually knows your name at some point. So if you are popping by because you read a review on Google you might not be the top of the list on service. Doesn't mean they do not like you... get over yourself... your one time visit isn't really the target market here. In all honesty, I have never been for anything other than breakfast/brunch... My understanding is if the doors are closed the food is done. You are getting homemade cooked food. Supply is limited. No one cries when the top barbecue joints close early because they run out... why cry on here if you show up and the owner is done for the day. Again, this is a real family that runs a small shop. So if you are looking for an authentic family style place where the owners actually cook the food themselves this is your place. If you want fast, cheap and boring......

Come for breakfast, that's when the homemade tortillas are the freshest and they open at 7AM - 7 days a week. Bonus, there is a drive thru...so you can stuff your face as you go to work or school! This is a mom and pop staple and they care about making good food. This is not a chain restaurant like Rositas or Taco Buenos, so don't come with those expectation. They offer economical plastic ware, foam plates, and cops. No hostess, or fine china, and rare table side service. Come here for just for breakfast and for the good food. The eggs are real, not from a box, the bacon is thick, and the salsa is flavorful. If you enjoy menudo or pozole, they offer this on the weekend, with those made fresh daily fluffy tortillas. In my opinion I've tried both Mi casita locations in Denton for breakfast with my 2 high school students and we all agree it doesn't taste right or authentic. Reserve Mi Casita for those you really do not care about giving the very best or...

Took me about 25 minutes instead of 13 based on GPS because of the confusing roads & it's so hidden & has not invested in a sign to promote his place. I get there very frustrated at this point & he hand signals me through the glass door sliding/slicing hand over his neck saying they are closed, website says 2:00 pm & I advised him that when he finally came to the door, he looks down on his glass window at yet another sign that says we close at 2:00 pm looks at me & says I ran out of tortillas, sorry we'll be here again tomorrow, yeah not coming back, lately I feel after this pandemic people that own restaurants are super taking advantage of people. I mean I understand we are all having to go through it but if it's not poor customer service, it's definitely higher prices than ever & honestly it's not right.if you own a business please act professional I guarantee you there will be more...
