Walked into the restaurant to give it a try, older gentleman cutting the meat gave the wife and I and look as if we were bothering him. I thought it was weird but continued. We both got 2 meat plates and the young lady helping us (her name started with a J) got our sides and checked us out. (She was very nice and helpful). We sat down to eat and we both noticed our food was cold. We talked for a minute and decided to let the staff know and that we wanted it to be warm. The older gentleman said that it was warm and it could'nt have been cold so I decided to get a refund and just leave. I asked to speak with a manager so I could get my refund but there was no manager and (J) had to call her and ask how to initiate the refund but the manager told her on the phone to tell me to come back tomorrow to do the refund and leave my info. I was uncomfortable with that and I told her I would need something in writing since the refund could not be done right then and there so the manager decided to come in. We waited 15 minutes and the manager shows up in street clothes with some random man as well behind the counter around the food with no hair net, gloves, cap, anything. I explained the situation to the manager and I don't think she understood what I was trying to tell her because she thought I was accusing them of giving me raw meat. I decided to stop talking, got my refund and left. The experience was kind of sour to start and it didnt get better but what I was concerned about was the fact that there was no manager there and she had to come in from wherever she was to do something when she probably was supposed to be there? I used to manage a steakhouse as a FOH manager and would be fired if I left the staff run a shift without any authority...

12/26/2020 Update: Things have changed quite a bit since my last visit. Went on Christmas Eve. Ordered Okra without seasoning, and a chopped beef sandwich. While at the window I saw the girl that worked the window put a bunch of salt on the Okra. When she brought the order to the window I told her I saw her put salt on them and that is not what I ordered. So, she left my sandwich sitting right inside the window and put several orders of Okra in. She came back and asked if I wanted another side and I said no.
I was really hungry and saw my sandwich sitting right inside the window and a line full of cars behind me. I wasn't told to move up - and I gladly would have done that. Instead, there was a standstill at the window while my Okra was cooking. I finally got my order and went on my way.
When I got home I found out my chopped beef was sliced beef, the impression tonight was not a good one. I remember I wasn't sure about getting my debit card back, but got busy wrapping presents. After doing a thorough check of my purse and car I realized that I didn't have my debit card. As the next day was Christmas - I couldn't call them. Called today and sure enough they had my debit card.

When I came home and took a bite of it I don't know why I think it was my instinct but I didn't wanna eat the bun just the meat so I poured the brisket out of the bun just to find a dead fly in it. It grossed me so much I had to vomit🤮 it was really disappointing specially bc it was my first time trying This place and definitely not going back it was my first and last. I was planing on eating there but their AC wasn't even working so I decided to take it home. It was all a waste of time and money. I was gonna go to Rudy's BBQ but Dickies was closer to where I was at that time but I think I'll stick with Rudy's from now on. Edit review after they replied here to my review saying to get in touch with the. So they would solve my issue they DID NOT! I got back to them and they only asked for all my info and than they don't reply to me anymore. If they put here that they are sorry and to get in touch with them, don't, because they're only going to waste your time and just ignore you.
