My first experience was not good. As a food service professional, not only did I apply after reading all their now hiring signs to be turned away for an intervie because they aren’t hiring was the first hiccup. But after cooking at a similar burger joint for over a year, and just knowing good food, this isn’t it. It’s a frozen patty “char-broiled” and tastes worst than Burger King. So dry!! And I was overcharged for cheese, which was caught and corrected. But this was after I asked for a receipt to be told the receipt machine didn’t work and then to be brought a receipt. On said receipt, I was charge $2.49 each for three 20oz drink. When I told her, I wanted them taken off cuz I could get a two liter for the price of one, she offered a slice chocolate cake to avoid the return. We were excited to say the least after waiting for our food and having issues for 10mins with no other cars in-line at 1245p (should have been a sign). The fries were too salty. The onion rings tasted like basically frozen onion rings. The Nathan’s rings at Kroger for $6 a bag are better. By the time we got home with the burger (less than 6mins away) the bottom bun soggy was saturated with grease, which was only on the bottom of the bottom part of the bun. The inside and burger were dry. Idk what it slid thru or who dropped grease in the container but nasty. Literally could not eat the bottom bun pieces. And why are there red onions on a burger with onion rings SMH. Lastly the cake was dry and tasted like Betty Crocker box cake and icing. All and all, I spent $40 on LUNCH for me and two teens and none of us what to have it again. Maybe the hotdogs and chicken are better but hard pass on the overpriced frozen food. I think I’ll stick to cooking my own burger. Thanks for...
Read moreMy husband and I went for a late lunch today. It was our first visit. I was surprised at how spacious it was. Nicely decorated with good music and friendly, efficient staff!
I'm glad the person who took our order asked me if I wanted peppers on my Italian Beef because I just expected them based on the pic on the menu. Small upcharge, but worth it! I got the "gravy" (jus) on the side because I didn't know what to expect, and it was the right decision for me because I only ate about 2/3 of it and the rest heated up great in the oven later.
They will dip the whole sandwich if that's what you want, and the bread is crispy on the outside and somehow strong enough to hold up under all that beef and jus while still being soft on the inside. Flavor was great! The giardinera included celery and crinkly carrots; nice and tangy and spicy!
My husband got 2 chicago dogs and fries with cheese sauce, all also very good. The toppings for the dogs were very fresh and just the right size to all work together within the poppyseed bun without overwhelming the frank. If given a choice between crinkle or straight fries, I would have chosen the latter, but I would have missed out.
Overall, we were very pleased! Service was friendly, helpful, and prompt. It came to about $30 with drinks and we had more than enough food. Looking forward to trying the polish sausage and...
Read moreThe food was good, I got the jumbo chili dog with cheese fries. There wasn't much chili, but it tasted good. My husband got the standard philly extra sauce as loved it. The small fries and drink were plenty - about the size that used to be considered medium. Nice crinkle fries, salted appropriately and crisp. Cheese sauce is the standard nacho cheese (which I like for dipping). A small sauce is easily shareable between two. We plan to go back and support our local Denton Portillos. Orders were correct and within an appropriate time for similar restaurant styles.
The atmosphere was well lit with high ceilings and clean. The clammar of 1/3 full restaurant was enough to drown the music. I knew it was playing, but couldn't make out the song. We couldn't hear the orders being announced nor see the order-up screen - which could be easily fixed and didn't diminish our experience.
The main door placement is a bit challenging because the drive thru entrance passes directly in front. The main parking is to the side, and again - pedestrians will need to have caution because the drive thru exit is there. We entered through the front main doors, but exited thru a side door. I can see the side door becoming the most...
