Will my experience start off really well after Miss Lizzie (manage) she was a kind, very nice young lady. The other lady who initially started with assisting me with the initials B seemed to kind of downgrade herself with her demeanor by shortening her sentences here and there. I did address this with Miss Lizzie, and she pretty much probably let that young lady know about her attitude later on.
No... I came back for the cookies, which are so wonderful it's I think it's chocolate pecan (soft in the middle). If you get a chance, I took a picture of the cookie. I believe that at times, by mid-morning, they sell out of these cookies.
I came by to get those cookies the day after or so. Miss Adria she was such a baby doll. Great spirit and a lovely lady. I was told that the owners either attained a Russian recipe for these deserts or something of nature. You never know what people are spewing out their mouths now with such stories, but wonderful pastries just like in Paris. Very wonderful.
I know for those who have to drive far, it was a drive for me... it is worth it just to check it out and grab something good.
By chance, you may want to get there as early as possible because they do sell out on a lot of items. They self make their Breads and everything else. Don't use crazy recipes with lots of ingredients. Is what I know is about this bakery/pastry place.
How to make it easier on everybody...check it out the actual menu that had posted, and that should help you choose what you want and you can call ahead to make orders or to do what you need to do to get the delicious pastries and desserts that you like. Take care, everyone, and have a...
Read moreThis was my first time ordering from Ravelin. After reading the amazing reviews and looking at the beautiful photos I was sold. My husband loves éclairs and I have been on the hunt for the perfect eclair. It was his birthday, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I placed an order for 10 vanilla éclairs and 10 chocolate éclairs. They were kind enough to oblige to give me vanilla eclairs with vanilla pastry cream they usually use for their cream puffs.
When I picked them up, they were open faced with the chocolate glaze facing down, but very pretty, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. These are NOT éclairs, not even mediocre. The choux pastry is burnt, probably why you gave me open faced upside down ones to cover up. The vanilla and chocolate pastry cream filling is really nice but still doesn't mask how burnt and inedible the choux pastry is.
At this rate, I would've bought $4 grocery store éclairs vs. paying $100+ for these. I really wanted to like them. I drove an hour for this, and they ruined my surprise for my husband.
Just tell the customer that we couldn't do it or something went wrong. Don't sell it if the order was messed up. I'm a baker...
Read moreSomehow, I have lived a good portion of life not knowing how good pecan pie can be. I finally tried a good one my neighbor had kindly cooked for me. Since my great awakening, pecan pie is my favourite pie. Crystal and her team can make them from scratch. They have it figured out. A perfect balance of crunch from the pecan blended in a perfect ratio of the moist sweet inner delicios part. As you chew, it gets better and better. As this heavenly medley of ingredients envelopes your awe-struck taste buds. Your life flashes before your eyes as you compare it to the greatest pies of the past. Trying to prolong the flavor, your brain begins to calculate the optimal time to swallow each bite-for maximum sensory satisfaction. It taste so good! It's among the greatest things I have ever tasted. If you love pecan pie, go see the new owner Crystal and ask for one. I strongly suggest you get one whole. I suppose, a slice would be nice, but when you try it, you'll wish you had opted for all 360 degrees. They are that good! I will certainly be back for more when this one is gone. What a cool place, with great people. Come try this...
