After stopping by today to grab a quick dinner I am still finding it hard to believe how I and other customers were treated by an employee. When my friend and I ordered our food, the nice gentleman taking our order asked if we would like our sopapias (however you spell it 😩) with our meal or after. I politely said after would be great. We got our food and proceeded to eat. Once done, I went back to the food pickup counter to ask for the sopapias and the lady rudely said one second. Then proceeded to ignore me. After a few I asked her again and she said rudely and somewhat mumbling said it would be a minute. I assumed she meant to make them for me. I went back to my table and waited, then went back to see if they were ready. When I asked her again, she appeared irritated that I was at the counter again and when she finally acknowledge me I proceeded to speak to her in Spanish because I thought maybe she wasn’t fully understanding what I was asking. Nope. Didn't matter. She rudely asked me for my receipt. I told her it was at my table and she acted as if I was expected to go get it. I then became irritated and told her she didn’t ask me for my receipt when I picked up all my food nor had she asked any other customers in line with me for their receipt. She pushed the buttons on the order matching rather aggressively looking for my order (#5) and then stated it would be a few more minutes . I went back to my table again and finally after going back a third time she had them waiting. While I was there grabbing them, another lady was grabbing her food and she didn’t have any tortillas with her plate. When the lady politely asked for them the same employee rudely cut her off and said one sec. Then kept chatting with her coworker. The customer just looked at her and then at me like oh my gosh. This employee clearly was on a power trip I and honestly didn’t understand why until I was about to leave. Walking out the door I stopped at the front register and asked for a manager. After 3-4 minutes lo and behold the same employee that was being super rude to everyone was also the manager. When I saw her and said “are you the manager?” She replied and said yes with this smirk on her face as if l was someone completely beneath her and my complaint would be thrown out the window. She knew I wanted to complain. I simply said never mind and started walking out. As I turned to leave the lady said very arrogantly in Spanish “ it’s absolutely no problem” regarding how I didn’t want to talk to her and then said “have a very nice day” in a very screw you kind of way. I was very disappointed in the whole experience and how she was treating myself and other customers. I have decided to let the public know about her unwelcome and very unnecessary behavior. It was especially disappointing as I love Rosa’s food and ALWAYS have great experiences at other locations. I nor my friend will ever go back to this place. I have a feeling the lady who asked for her tortillas also feels the same way. It was so unprofessional and very inconsiderate of this employee considering Rosa’s has a great reputation and has worked very hard for their clientele. I will leave reviews on yelp and other sites that monitor the behavior of a business so that the public is aware. I will also be filing a complaint with the corporate office. Being rude period was bad enough but the way she acted and the things she said as I left was nothing short of disgusting and unacceptable. She went way too far with her “in control” attitude. This is suppose to be the locations manager and I can’t believe she is allowed to treat people as if they are her own pets. I’m still feeling extremely upset about this whole visit. She doesn’t deserve to be in a position of authority treating customers like this. I pray the establishment has cameras and can review my claims. Something has to be done about her hatred style behavior towards customers she obviously believes are not worthy of her attention. Gross!!! Update 2-27-24 I received a call from the corporate office. Much...
Read moreI am not from texas and I told my boyfriend that I was homesick for some Sit down mexican food. We have had some of the best authentic mexican dishes around this area. I love The street tacos that you can get basically anywhere. They are absolutely amazing even the ones that are at the gas stations. So when he recommended, we go to Rosa's. I was so excited for the very familiar chips, cheese, and variety of enchiladas, tacos and over all familiar Hispanic sit down foods that I miss so much.
When we got to rosa's, I was very excited with the outside of the building and it looked pretty. When we went inside. I was shocked to see that it was set up like a fast food restaurant. But I am always down for a new adventure so I looked through the menu and it all looked amazing. I wanted to start with something very simple so I got a cheese enchilada plate. He got a burrito and we shared a large chip. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely breath taking a beautiful. I love the chair set up and all of the decorations and the music. It felt just like I was back home. When the food was ready, I was so excited to just start chowing down Until I saw the color of the cheese on both dishes. I fully understand that white queso is not traditional, But I was not expecting the cheese to be a orange brown color. I thought maybe it was a Chipotle cheese. As I have had that many times before. So I eagerly took a bite of my dish and was instantly disappointed At the familiar rubber cheese dip taste. The taste actually took me back to eating a nacho lunchables. To say that I was disappointed is in understatement.
The best part of the meal, however, had to have been their homemade tortillas. They are warm and chewy and everything I didn't know I wanted in a tortilla. With the addition of the amazing refried beans and the verde sauce from the salad bar, That was by far my favorite part of the meal.
Overall, I give Rosa's A 4 out of 10. The environment is great and the atmosphere is lovely. But the food is very subpar, For the exception of the homemade tortillas which I know that's what they are famous for. If I were to go back, it would be solely for the tortillas and the salabar variety of salsa's...
Read moreTwo years ago I gave this restaurant 5 stars, but now I change my mind to 1 star, although 0 stars are not available
Last night, my family and I, went to this restaurant in Denton at 9 pm Our order was a family size fajita combo with double meat, which unfortunately they told us that "they do not have enough meat for this order, but if you place two family size combo orders, they can accept the order." The question is, how come you do not have enough meat for 1 order with double meat? But, you DO have enough meat for 2 regular orders!!!!!!! This is a fraud. And that according to your service schedule you are able to provide service until 11:00 PM on Saturdays, how did you finish the meat at 9:00 PM?, this indicates a lack of planning and management in your restaurant. It should be noted that this is the third time this has happened to me and my family at this restaurant located in Denton, where last 2 times we had to change our order but last night we decided to change the restaurant instead of food and left the place. I'm really sorry for your management style in abusing...
