Poor customer service!!!! Even after bringing this to the attention of the manager, excuses were made and a lack of accountability occurred. I came in and ordered 2 birria tacos and a pollo papa asada. When my order came out I received 2 birria tacos and a chicken quesadilla. Despite the cashier repeating back the correct order and my friend/I also confirmed. When we asked our waitress she went to the back and came back stating we needed to pay the difference for the item that was originally ordered since the wrong item was brought out but that we could keep it. Definitely felt this should’ve been handled different but okay I go to the register to pay and the manager and 3 other employees were standing there working on the register, after a few minutes of no one looking up or saying anything I asked that they let me know when they’re ready for me to pay that amount. After paying the amount requested, 30 minutes went buy and we still hadn’t received our missing food item (for reference the food comes out quickly) we asked the ONE waiter with good customer service about our order and he was so apologetic (also brought us each a drink) his name is Oscar and he should be the manager truly. Our missing food was forgotten AFTER we paid for it and only brought to us because we followed up. Atleast this time the manager brought it over and said it was a mistake etc. We are all human but CUSTOMER SERVICE in the FOOD INDUSTRY is not optional, it’s a REQUIREMENT. The food was good but not worth the terrible dining experience dealing with the manager and waitress. Again shout out to Oscar because he’s the only reason I didn’t take this to...

Read moreI was going to go to lunch at Torchy's down the block, but since I'd never been here and was curious, decided to try it out.
WRONG MOVE.
Part of that is on me, I erroneously assumed no one would be so stupid as to put 2 fast casual taco joints within half a block of each other and thought this one was going to be sit-down judging from pics.
Nope.
Ok, so you order at the counter and pay. I opted for the Ribeye quesadilla, also erroneously assuming I would get a largish, quesadilla cut into slices, with maybe some tomato and onion or green onion in there, but definitely with some kind of sauce to dip it in.
Nope. I was handed a small, bone dry half moon quesadilla, no sauce, no offer of sauce, nothing. (I ate half before I took a pic...hand for scale)
Just steak, not even really spiced at all, cheese, and an overly crispy tortilla for my taste. I will say it did have a generous amount of steak, but it was very gristly and didn't have a lot of flavor other than plain steak.
Thank God I got a beer, because my mouth would have been the Sahara otherwise.
Beer at least was pretty reasonably priced. Service was pretty good, but man what an overall disappointment...wish I'd gone with my original plan and gone to Torchys. I...
