Gong Cha Pearl St — Restaurant in Denver

I've tried a ton of bubble tea places all over the Denver area, and this new spot on Pearl Street is my new favorite! I feel super lucky to have this place right in my neighborhood.

We visited on Saturday evening and received fantastic service from the person working at the time (I forgot to get his name, but super kudos to the person working in the evening of May 25th!). He helpfully walked us through the menu, gave suggestions on both his favorites and the most popular drinks.

When we arrived after dinner at Sukiya Ramen in back through the conveniently curtained partition, we were the only customers. A few people got in line after us, but I'm positive that this place will become incredibly popular with foot traffic as the neighborhood discovers it as the perfect summer evening treat.

We tried the Creme Brulee Brown Sugar Milk Tea with added boba and the Strawberry Milk Tea. The Creme Brulee Brown Sugar tea flavor was incredible--my new favorite go-to for bubble tea! The Strawberry Milk Tea had some subtle floral undertones that set it apart from similar versions at other bubble tea shops. The boba were slightly smaller than other bubble tea shops, but they had a great texture and consistency and there were plenty of them in the drink. Their unique size made it feel like thought and effort had gone into selecting all of the ingredients instead of just opting to go with standard bulk boba.

The space is cute and cozy--there are a couple chairs to relax in inside the restaurant alongside some bright and fun vending machines for kids toys. We opted to enjoy our drinks outside at the handful of picnic tables that are set up for guests.

I love that there's now a bubble tea spot in Platt Park, and can't stress enough that you should stop in to grab a drink whenever you're on...

It’s a good milk tea place, and when there are workers they’re nice, but nearly every time I place an order ahead or go in there’s no one behind the counter. I place an order far in advanced and they don’t even realize an order was placed. What’s the point of having an app to place orders ahead if they don’t pay attention to it? I came in late one night and the cashier was so patient with me while I ordered one of all of the holiday drinks! We chatted, she was great!
