Greg's Kitchen & Taphouse — Restaurant in Denver

This was my 2nd time at Greg's. The first time I stopped in was a few months back at the start of football season. It was early in the day and the establishment was packed. The food was overall good, their beer selection is also good, but their cocktail menu could be revisited. My fiancé ordered an old fashion and didn't realize until after he ordered it that the main ingredient is water. He looked at the menu after and saw that it also said water. I do remember the service being particularly slow but we all shrugged it off because it was busy and we weren't in a rush.

We just visited Greg's this last Sunday. A lot of similar feedback, food was good. Timeliness of service could have improved. We didn't get a chance to order food for about 45 minutes to an hour. Part of the issue was that they were trying to play one of the NFL games for us but due to the contractual issues with the NFL and DirectTV it wasn't playing. They did a lot of accommodating and found it on peacock and even set up a personal speaker. Much appreciated. Everyone had a good time, and then our check came and we were quite shocked at the total. We did take some celebratory shots, but didn't realize that all their shots were $9 and with a group our total quickly added up. It would be nice if there were some game day specials. When my friends and I go to watch the games we know we're going to spend money, but I think for the price that we paid we can find a more reasonably priced place to go. Food is priced well, but cocktails and liquor are way over priced, they by no means are serving...

We came in on a really bad night. A Saturday night. Our waitress was literally the only one working, serving, waiting, bussing, and bartending. Poor woman was running around crazy and deserves 10 stars. People were actually getting up from their tables to help her bus and move all the dirty dishes to one table so new customers could have a place to sit. Luckily everyone in the restaurant was very patient and understanding. She physically could not do everything with the amount of customers she had. I am surprised she didn’t just walk off the job. Drinks were good. The food was alright which is where my 3 stars comes in. Tater tots looked and tasted old and mushy. My sister ordered the Turkey wrap and couldn’t even eat it because it was so soggy, dripping water everywhere. The fries are too big in my opinion but they were ok. I really liked my burger, and all others except my sister enjoyed their food. Waitress took the turkey wrap off the bill so it was no problem. Based on food alone it was mediocre. This is the 2nd time trying Greg's. The first experience was ok. The food was great, but the service was a lot to be desired. As our waitress helped another table most of the time, it was just us and another table that was assigned to her. We had to ask other wait staff for more drinks and they only brought out my son's food 😒 The kitchen didn't even make mine. Our waitress never apologized. We said we wouldn't be back. More than a year later we decided to try it tonight for wings and a sandwich, pick up. We'll, this time the food was not good at all. The wings had absolutely no garlic parm flavor and the gyro beef was flavorless and the veggies looked like they were a couple of days old with wilted lettuce. We just threw it all away, that disappointed $40 down the drain on food that wasn't prepared right. We will now definitely...
