Home Away Coffee — Restaurant in Denver

Seriously, the name says it all! Home Away Coffee is exactly what it feels like - a cozy, welcoming space where you can relax and enjoy a truly fantastic cup of coffee. I stopped in today (7/17/2025) and was immediately greeted with a warm smile.

The atmosphere is perfect - comfy seating, lovely decor, and just the right level of background music. But the coffee? Oh, the coffee! I had a latte and it was expertly made, perfectly balanced, and SO delicious. You can tell they use high-quality beans and really care about their craft.

Beyond the amazing coffee, the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. They made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time!

The owner Amanda is SO sweet. Sometimes I walk into coffee shops and the vibes are cold and the people behind the counter seem stand off-ish. This place is not that. Everyone that works here is so friendly and the space feels open enough to give you privacy but cozy enough that it doesn’t feel sterile. A great quiet space to work or converse depending on your mood. Not to mention, the coffee was so good. Amanda and Lauren recommended their house syrups which is usually not my thing but the vanilla bourbon was awesome! My friend got the honey lavender and hers was also awesome and actually had that kick of lavender that a lot of lavender drinks kind of miss on. Highly recommend. Plus, they’re dog friendly! Worth the wait if you go in the morning rush....

Such a convenient location for a coffee place! Right next to the train stop. They had a spicy chai which was so good with their homemade vanilla bourbon syrup.
