Stopped for lunch on a whim when I drove by and notice Ike’s To say I’ve felt let down by the sandwich options out there would be putting it mildly, I’ve regretted having spent the money each time. So was hopeful pulling into this new (to me) very differently marketed Sandwich Shop. The staff was fun, chill, and friendly. Had the vibe of walking into your friends kitchen and them making you a bomb sammie. I ordered a Matt Cain from Greg, a super friendly chill guy. (Yes I got the lollipop what kind of weirdo turns down a Lolli ) It was a delicious party in my mouth, and for once I finished my Sammie with feelings of satisfaction instead of sadness and regret. Yes it is a little higher priced than some other shops (but less than the JJ place for the same size) but 100% worth it. My only regret is there is not one closer to me so I can come more often.

I liked that there is a huge selection of vegan and vegetarian sandwiches on the menu - but I was underwhelmed by the sandwich I ordered for the price. I ordered the ‘James and the Giant Peach’ which was supposed to have yellow bbq sauce, but mine apparently did not - I opened the sandwich to check for it and couldn’t see it. Even the ‘dirty sauce’ had been applied very, very sparingly, so it was essentially bread, a couple of vegetarian ‘chicken’ fingers (these were good at least), lettuce, and tomato. It was nearly indistinguishable from a sandwich from Subway and had less flavour. There were at least six people working when we came in - and only one order ahead of us, and it took twenty minutes to make our sandwiches. Had the flavour been amazing it would have been worth the wait, but I’m still uncertain how it takes 4-6 people to assemble a basic sandwich over a twenty minute period. I don’t mind paying good money for great tasting food and ensuring a living wage for employees, but I paid over $40 with a tip for two basic sandwiches, two bags of chips, and a single fountain drink. Not sure I’ll be back.

Came here on a Tuesday evening, not busy at all. I came here with my mouth set on a steak sandwich. Which i was told they were completely out of at 6 in the evening. I inquired about their meatless sandwhiches and i wanted to know what was their "chicken" made of. The girl at the register simply said "i don't know", she didn't try and ask her colleagues or anything, it was a flat out shoulder shrug. I ordered and It took over 20 mins for 1 sandwich. I also ordered a side of fried zucchini, when i got my food i thought the zucchini was not placed in the bag thats how tiny the portion was. I paid $3.50 for fried zucchini that could fit inside the palm of my hand (Pictures included) To make matters worse, they were very soggy. With my sandwich and fried zucchini it was $18(no drink). To be honest, i could have treated myself to a full course meal at the cheesecake factory for that price. To their credit the sub was made and put together nicely without it being a huge mess. I'll probably return to try other sandwiches as they have a huge variety but it will not be anytime soon.

This place has great employees. They were super friendly and professional. When I ordered the Pioneer sandwich the girl told me it was a good choice. I told her I had it been there before and it sounded interesting. She then asked if I was okay with the crunch bread and told me exactly what it was. She also told me what the dirty sauce is. I appreciated the information. The sandwich was great. The creaminess of the dirty sauce combined with the strawberry jam was delicious. I give it 4 stars because I think $14.95 for a sub sandwich is a little crazy. Maybe if the price included chips or a drink. I have to be honest I almost left when I saw the price. I know that we are living in a "pandemic." As good as the sandwich was I'd really have to be craving one to pay that price.

Not impressed. I liked they had halal chicken on the menu and several options but it kind of seemed like a mockery of what halal is. Halal chicken paired with bacon on a few sandwiches and names like mange e trois, backstabber and we're just friends. Just did not make sense. We were told only the sandwiches that say halal are halal chicken only. Sandwiches were okay, not amazing or something we would drive all the way back for. 4 sandwiches and 2 drinks we are at $70 for subs. The employee at the counter was playing with the water cups when we came in, trying to stack them oddly and he dropped them on the floor a few times, another employee helped him pick them up and then he put them back and tried to give us one for water!!! I was really put off by everything.

I’ve been in twice and I’ve tried the Sometimes I’m a Vegetarian (artichoke & mushrooms) and the James & The Giant Peach (vegan fried chicken). The first sandwich I had was okay (to be fair, as soon as I ordered it, I realized I wasn’t in the mood for mushrooms), so I had to come back in and try something else. One of the kind workers, Gregory, recommended the James & The Giant Peach. I got it on sourdough with lettuce and onions - and it was sooooo good. The flavors were well balanced and the bread and fixens were fresh. It’s a treat to visit a sandwich shop with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as great options for meat eaters. For my gluten-free friends, gluten-free bread is available. Also, you’re offered a lollipop with your sandwich! 🍭
