Neveria La Mexicana — Restaurant in Denver

I absolutely love this place. I have been going here since the day they opened. I won't anywhere else now. I have it 3 stars because today I took my adult kids here too share the incredible ice cream I love but long story short, I ordered my I've cream and some for my granddaughter and waited for a long time to pay. While waiting it felt so uncomfortable and my kids changed their minds on ordering anything. It kind of upset me but while I was still ordering I paid attention to the employees and realized why I felt so weird, it was them. The service was so slow and most of the employees looked like they didn't want to be there. The tension between them 4 ladies was so thick. It was so uncomfortable to be in there because you could tell they had something against each other. That does infect a business. Please get to the bottom of this because I love this place and when we walked out my boys shared the same feeling with me. They felt the tension also. Not a great experience! It's our local spot and we have tried to support it. This place was great when it first opened. Just spent 30 mins waiting for a scoop of icecream. 3 teenage workers just taking there time. Yes they are friendly, but lack basic customer service skills. We weren't greeted when we walked in, weren't told how long the wait would be, items we asked for were not available (certain icecream flavors, cone types or flavored water). By the way this wasn't the first time we have been disappointed here. Gave the spot the benefit of the doubt. We'll be looking for a new icecream place now. Honestly has the best neveria/paleteria snacks in Denver area. I found this place randomly once, went in and bought some snacks, hyped it up to my friends, we returned later, and the service was so bad I end up having a conflict anytime i consider going here.

As i'm translating for my 2 friends, I'm feeling embarrassed because the lady serving me was super rude and would pretend not to understand me? (Spanish is my first language, I didn't learn English until I was 11, I still speak it fluently without issues) If my English-speaking friends tried asking for something, she would gesture at me to translate.
