Taste of Asia — Restaurant in Denver

Oh my gosh best crab cheese wantons in Denver...and I have had more than my share. They have that very light flakey wonton shell and (in my case at least) were taken out of the fryer at the perfect time. I've come to expect crab cheese wontons to have a thicker pastry-like shell which when overcooked ends up more like a fortune cookie with cream cheese (still good...can't go wrong with fried cream cheese), but every time I order them I never really feel satisfied. Let me tell you that changed today! Taste of Asia reminded me why I fell in love with crab cheese wantons 20+ years ago at my favorite Chinese restaurant outside of Chicago. I'll stop on that now, because clearly I have an obsession to be able to write this much about a fried food.

ALSO, I had the panang curry with shrimp and it was also 5 stars It had loads of fresh vegetables (I feel like often you just get onions and peppers but this had snow peas, mushrooms, and cabbage too). I gambled on the shrimp because I'm just weird and picky about seafood but it sounded good and my gut said go for it. I'm glad I did! Shrimps were nice size and had good flavor (something I find hard to find in previously frozen shrimp).

So all in all great food made with good quality ingredients!!

I went in for takeout and it was ready in less than 10 min. It's also a great atmosphere for dining in...just a very simple/clean/open, inviting dining room with tables for 1 or...

I love this place but the lady who is at the register always gives me bad attitude. First time i went it seem like she did not want to help us and was annoyed. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. However this behavior continued every time i went there. Last time i went i took my sister with me and once she saw us she rolled her eyes and sighed dramatically. From what i know i have never treated her badly nor gave her attitude because i also work at a restaurant and i wouldn’t treat my customers like that. I’ve had the other gentleman helped me once or twice and they have never treated me poorly they know how to keep customers happy and they have a good attitude. Lost a customer i love it there but won’t be back because im not going to get treated poorly...

We love Taste of Asia and order takeout fairly often. Their Salt and Pepper Tofu, Curry Chicken, and Panang Curry are all great dishes. However, if you order takeout, call the restaurant directly and DO NOT USE BEYOND MENU FROM THEIR WEBSITE. We have made this mistake a few times and every single time, our order does not go through because their fax machine is broken or they've cancelled online orders because it's too busy. BeyondMenu does not alert you when this has happened and you won't find out until you show up at the restaurant to pick up your food. If you end up cancelling your order, you will then have to call BeyondMenu to get a cancellation confirmation and a refund to your credit card. So save yourself the hassle, and call them to...
