AVOID! OUTRIGHT THIEVES!
I ordered delivery two times from this location via the IHOP website (NOT through DoorDash) which automatically assigned the order to DoorDash. Both times, I waited a long time for my orders and then either the store or the DoorDash driver canceled my order without me asking them to. Trying to get a refund has been an absolute nightmare. Ten days later from the first order, I still have not received a refund for one of the orders and I’m being told that I will not. That is what we call theft.
I felt like I was being audited. Instead of just giving me my money back for a product not received, they had me prove that I ordered by forwarding my confirmation email (which I did) and there was even talk of providing my bank statement to prove that I was charged for the order. I have proof of that, but what the heck is this? Provide my bank statement over an omelette?
Just give me my money back. Take responsibility for your system not keeping track of my order and for your drivers.
I was also told to contact IHOP directly by DoorDash. Then, IHOP told me to contact DoorDash. I call DoorDash and they say to contact IHOP. I go back to IHOP and they say to contact DoorDash. Around and around and around and no one will help. I even contacted IHOP through their websites customer support and I got zero response from anybody. I then PHYSICALLY drove to the store when they offered me credit or to pick up what I ordered originally (no offer to reimburse me for delivery costs I paid) to still see if I could get my refund or, if I wanted to settle for the store credit, what I needed to do. The person at the front was quite stale and their favorite thing to say was, “I can’t help you with that; I’m not a manager.“ They couldn’t even tell me when the regional overseer that was, supposedly, helping me would be in.
Even with an offer for credit or to pick up the items that I ordered over a WEEK later, I am, once again as with other stores, being told to correct IHOP’s delivery mistake by taking time out of my day to drive to the store and waste gas.
That is not my responsibility. I paid for delivery. The point was to save time and this is wasted in a immense amount of my time. Now, they want me to waste more time by coordinating my schedule with the regional overseer to come into the store to pick up my items 10 days later so she can program my order.
The meal was for ten days ago. I already had to reorder food twice, initially costing me the cost of four meals instead of two. I just don’t have time for this.
My advice? AVOID this store and definitely AVOID ordering delivery through IHOP’s website or DoorDash.
I am a long-time consistent customer from whom they will likely be losing a bigger chunk of my business than $22.92.
UPDATE: 01/30/2025 In usual fashion, "customer service" tries to make it look like they care by responding to a review and providing a link for them to, supposedly, help with the issue. I went to the link days ago and dead silence just as before. Not a peep from anyone! I have yet to receive my money back! THEFT.
UPDATE: 05/06/2025 All of these months later and I am STILL trying to get a refund. I have repeatedly contacted corporate, the regional overseer, and responded via the link AGAIN below and zero response from anyone. There is no other way to put it–these people are THIEVES and they don't...
Read moreThis is the worst establishment I've ever seen in my entire life! The waitress was worthless to say the least! After 86 dollars on cold food that WAS NOT in any means correct what we ordered not cheap if I may say so considering we had all pancakes and eggs. 3 children 2 adults and neither myself not my husband weigh more than 100 pounds so we didn't get or eat even close to that. They had a very large male dishwasher come stand right by the corner of our table onxe we had first day down and he stood there continually staring at us the entire time as if the employees needed protecting from us or something, perhaps they thought we were going to eat and run out as if our large crowd would be gotten far. Which goes to my next complaint:Upon arrival I asked 2 things politely as the other guy seated 2 others parties 1 on each side or the resteraunt, first that my son be delivered a dessert and if possible sang to, as this was our reason for coming in, and that because we had a 10, 4, and 1 year old and the birthday thing we wanted to be where there wasn't crowded so instead they were out of all desserts except crepes, they couldn't sing, and even though only one table was being used and somebody was seated immediately prior to us there they absolutely no questions asked COULD NOT bend whatever pretend rule or in anyway allow us to sit there but instead we had to sit in the last available table smack dab between 33 other people in the crowded side at the very last available table. I couldn't hear my children's questions, I couldn't think and couldn't possibly imagine enjoying a single moment but still managed to enjoy myself with my family for the sake of my son's 4th birthday. We ate the awful food without complaint with a smile while sitting humbled with our night. Our waitress came over and somehow with her attitude, terrible service, rude attitude, lack of customer service in any fashion, and complete disregard for her destroying everything for us that evening without so much as a single apology thus far stomped our spirits more when she bold face lied about desserts and the entire happy birthday ordeal. (I called previously today and this month to verify it to be done in request and without prior notice.) I was preparing the ticket and realized I didn't have change-My husband went to get his wallet from the truck but when he walked off the waitress literally ran to the table snatching up the money and then barked this aint enough. My husband was walking back up at this point and having overheard her threw down the exact dollar amount, grabbed our younger two boys and walked out behind myself and older son. I was so embarrassed when I had to explain to my 4 year old son that what he was looking forward to all day wasn't happening and I didn't know what to tell him when he asked why except people can be so judgmental and cruel. Why else did this happen? Why were we treated this way? What did we do wrong? I can almost guarantee nobody from management will care either or do anything to fix it next time. Read moreI called to place in order for pick up when i called, Mark answered and asked me to hold. While holding for 15 minutes me and my wife proceeded to go to ihop while still being on hold hoping we get our order in before we get there because its around 30 to 35 drive from my house to ihop so we can just pick our food up on go home because we jus got home from work. When we got to ihop we still was on hold then when we walked in this heavy set black lady was helpin the people that was at register so we stood right behind them. While standing there Mark walked up n said hi are you guys dining in i said no, then i said i been on hold for almost 45 minutes trying to place a take out order he said oooo im sorry i forgot you was on hold and said i was checkin on my tables but when i looked around there was only 4 tables being used and still he had time to try seat us instead of pick phone up. Then he walked away so i waited for people at register so we could place our order but when they finished they walked out door to wait for there food so we stepped up to place our order the heavy set black lady walks off. So we stood there for another 5 to 10 minutes before she said from behind the counter closer to the kitchen do we know what we what. So i said yes i do then she turned back around n finished talking to 1 of her other coworkers. But if i didnt know what i wanted i would be out of luck because its not like she gave me a menu to look before she walked off without sayin give me a second or nothing. Just walked off like we wasnt next in line. So then i said loudly can so eone take my oder because this service this TERRIBLE I got better service from a McDonalds and they stay messing up orders SMH. THEN Mark finally reappears and try take our order thats when my wife asks to speak to a manager and he said theres no managers here and continue try to not tell us the heavy set black lady name. Then tge way he said we can get you ya food fast made me think they would do something to our food so we asked when managers will be in and he kept saying over and over and over again to have good night to try get us to leave faster and did not try give us a manager or what time we can come back and talk to a manager.
