I’ve been going to India Express for a few years. Popping in on a Saturday to have a Buffett lunch. The food was alright (comparable to other Indian buffet, maybe a little better.) and it was never super busy but it was a little Pricey. I’d not gone in for about 3 months then yesterday I stopped in with a friend. The sign on the door that there was no Buffett anymore but there were lunch specials was a surprise. Going in and not seeing all the familiar faces was another surprise. There were new owners! This would soon prove to be the best surprise. We saw the new menu for the lunch specials and were impressed. The lunch specials include chai (and it is amazing and your cup is never empty) naan (again fresh and amazing) and papadum (yum! All the dips were awesome). We ordered vegetable samosas also $4. So good. I ordered the chicken noodles $12. Wow. Order it. It’s amazing! Incredible. I want more. My friend that was with me ordered chicken Korma $13. Also awesome. I tried it. The service was great. I mean, awesome. Super friendly. Not afraid to let you know it’s an entirely new restaurant, only the name stayed. Anyways. Go here. Order the chicken noodles. Order everything. The place has turned awesome. Oh. Did I mention my chicken noodles lunch special was only $12. Ya....
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here this afternoon after leaving the botanic garden, it's extremely close by the garden and transport was quick to get here. When you first walk I'm you are greeted by the sweetest and fastest server ever. He got use some Chai tea (10/10 would get a gallon if I didn't have a flight😭) and a starter. The sauces were extremely good I prefer the hot one personally. I got the Goan Shrimp Curry with medium spice(highly recommend) the Shrimp were cleaned and the spice level was perfect in between. My partner got Butter Chicken and Cheese Naan, which he throughly enjoyed as well. The restaurant is very serene especially for me a introvert, not loud, not crowded, and lovely music. I love the fabric art adorning the walls very eye catching! We came from Atlanta and it's rare we find good Indian food there this place was the perfect lunch date and hope to visit again sooner...
