If I could give this place zero stars I would. The individuals and staff that operate this Colombian dining establishment have a lot to learn about customer service and the definition of a dining experienceâŠ. And it shows. My family and I went for what we thought would be a pleasant almuerzo a la Colombia đšđŽâŠ. With a nice Bandeja Paisa to boot - boy was I wrong. It took my family and I 45 minutes to be served our basic beverages before I took the initiative from go to the bar myself to order our drinks. Que VergĂŒenza - How did your staff not acknowledge our basic need?
Meanwhile the table next to us had 10 patrons who were being served and attended to like kings. Refills, soups, appetizers and entrees were running to their table like Hussein Bolt going for a đ„ Gold Medal đ„. Surely the waitress wasnât looking forward to her more than adequate 20% tip?
Now to the main dish - Served after 1.5 hours of waiting with two young children under the age of 8 years old. No bread or friendly appetizers were offered in return for our patience. I have dined and lived all over the world and I would expect this kind of service out of a French tourist trap in Europe but not in đșđž!
$100 dollars in and 2 hours later and our food arrivedâŠ. The second thing you have to remember about the dining experience is when the wait time doesnât match the quality that is on your plate.. there is a fundamental problem. The likes of Anthony Bourdain and Gordon Ramsay would agree.
Needless to say we ate quickly, not because the food was necessarily good - but because we were hungry and needed nourishment. Having eaten Home cooked Colombian food for most of my life my opinion holds weight. But it was so average that there is nothing to write home about it. You are defrauding your customers of your very own culture which translates directly to the food on their plate.
The gentleman who sat next to us had a similar experience. Except he was never served one dish or beverage⊠Because after seeing him wait for 45min⊠I told him to get out of the restaurant. And he kindly obliged
What a waste of my hard earned dollar and more importantly my familyâs precious time.
You guys need to go back to your ABCâs of dining and customer service⊠and when you do your reviews on google and other dining portals will reflect that.
Iâll leave you folks with thisâŠ.
Good customer service and end product create rave reviews and repeat business. Plus you get a few referralâs along the wayâŠ.
Buena Suerte- but Iâm...
Read moreI read all the bad reviews and wanted to give this place a fair chance. It was next to the old restaurant los pareceros which I loved, so I assumed it would be just as delicious.
I was seated and it took maybe 2 minutes for a throbbing headache to start. I felt like I was in a club sitting next to the speakers. My girlfriend and I couldnât hear each other. It felt like we were all yelling over each other to be heard. I hate asking for things but it was so bad I called a waitress over to ask if they could possibly put it down. She started to laugh and walked away.
The menu had a few options and the pictures that were on it look appetizing. We ordered a bandeja paisa and picada to share. When we got the food I was shocked. It was not shareable whatsoever. The food look pretty bad and it was cold.
I couldnât finish it, it was so bad. I have had the pleasure to visit Colombia and eat at some amazing Colombian restaurants. I do not expect to be treated like royalty but I do expect to be served edible food.
The waitresses all look like theyâre in high school, forced by their parents to be working there, who donât care about their jobs. The only time I saw them smile was when they were talking amongst themselves or flirting with other people.
The thing that killed me was the total. $90 for the two small entrees that were bad, and 2 drinks. This also includes the gratituity that they add.
This was an embarrassing excuse for a Colombian restaurant and I really hope they take the reviews seriously. I shouldâve listened to...
