Painted RiNo Kitchen + Bar — Restaurant in Denver

This is a hotel lobby with a kitchen + bar not a restaurant. No host or waitstaff, just a single bartender managing the bar and tables. Reserved a table for brunch, walked in and the poor overworked bartender told us we could sit anywhere. Overheard other parties ask about their reservation and the bartender had no idea about a reservation service. Had to get up for a menu after noticing menus were being handed out at the bar. We were the first ones in after several people walked in and were never waited on after 20 minutes, while watching other later parties being waited on. Not the bartenders fault at all, he was very nice. Completely understaffed for being advertised as a restaurant that accepts reservations online. Menu was completely overpriced. $10 for a seasonal latte, $25 for a probably frozen country fried steak, $8 for a side of breakfast potatoes. Decided to leave after reviewing the menu and not receiving any service. Saved $50+ and went to a coffee shop. Also didn’t notice any outdoor seating which is also...

Beautiful decor but the prices are steep for small portions , no seasoning and overcooked breakfast. Convenient location but I’ll venture elsewhere for the rest of my stay in Denver. If it says ‘ seasonal greens’ you’re getting a clump of lettuce with two slivers of radish. No dressing. Ask for dressing and you’ll get a bottle of vinegar placed on your table. I watched people get up and find their own silverware. I went back the next morning to order an apple juice from the bar and it was spoiled. Then there was a 3 dollar service charge on a 4 dollar glass of gross. I asked what this charge was and she said ‘tax’. I wish they spent more...

After a long day of travel, I stopped in for dinner and drinks at the hotel restaurant without expecting much. But from the moment I sat down, Rick—the bartender—completely changed my outlook. He was one of the most personable and attentive servers I’ve ever encountered. I watched him treat every guest with genuine warmth, professionalism, and respect.
