I am reminded of why I don't eat here. But alas, I had a ten dollar gift card to use that our realtor sent a few months ago for our home owner anniversary. So after skipping lunch, I decided to grab a bite during errands and use the giftcard. I ordered a half sandwich, half tomato soup, and an iced green tea to the tune of $18!!! The internet memes are true: Panera serves hysterically over-priced hospital food. I waited close to 5 minutes in the drive through line (just one car ahead of me, however) before two separate--yet equally disgruntled--employees handed me my drink...then about 5 minutes later the other handed me my bag of half-portioned yet still-shockingly-expensive hospital food. Tomato soup wanted salt and was overall blah and too chunky. They named this soup "Creamy". They are liars. Sandwich was fine. The iced green tea used to be pretty good, but it's somehow greener than before while also being blander than ever. It was difficult to consume my soup since there was no free spoon or napkins in the bag. My fault for not checking before pulling away, but in my defense: this is not Taco Bell. (It's worse. I actually enjoy a Taco Bell run here or there and they havent forgotten to bag a spork for my pintos&cheese in quite a while.) I'd call and complain to a manager, but what's the point? I won't come here again and if next home owner anniversary finds me with another Panera gift card, I'll give it not to a homeless person (that'd be cruel, homeless people still deserve good soup and a spoon with which to eat it) but to an enemy in an act of passive aggression. If anyone needs the name of a great realtor,...
Read moreMy rating is for my visit today only. I have never had a poor experience here -- the food has always been good and the staff friendly -- but today was the exception. I ordered a breakfast sandwich for dine-in; after I placed my order and waited about 5 mins for my name to be called, an employee came over to where I was sitting and told me they were completely out of bagels that were not sweet. He recommended I substitute a roll or bread for my out-of-stock bagel, as a sweet bagel would not taste good with steak and eggs. Ok, no problem. I went with the flow, even though I thought the store should have recognized earlier that they were out of 80% of their bagels. When they brought the sandwich out to my table, I was really disappointed with what I saw. Normally, the bagel sandwiches are hefty. The sandwich they brought me on substituted bread was puny and I finished it in about 45 seconds. No one offered to discount my order, but I didn't ask. The offer would have been nice, however. After I finished it, I was still hungry, so I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. I waited, and waited, and waited for my name to be called. Finally, about 15 minutes later, an employee at the counter asked me what I was waiting for. I told her and she went over to the counter where they made breakfast orders. Nothing. They didn't have my order. She apologized, and I told her it was ok, but I have to say, I am really disappointed with my...
Read moreHave been to this location several times and today’s experience was terrible. I have noticed over the years that Panera as gradually downgraded in quality. Rushed food preparation, poor quality to minimization of ingredients. Today i ordered a 4-cheese grilled cheese sandwich (whole) & a cup of tomato soup. Super quick service but when i got the sandwich, a small handful of shredded cheese was in the middle, parts of the edges had no cheese at all and it wasn’t all melted. I took it back up to the counter and showed who appeared to be a supervisor or manager the sandwich. He looked at me and said is there a problem? I responded with “is this what this is supposed to look like?” To which he responded “what’s wrong with it?” “There’s hardly any cheese”, i said. His verbatim response to me was: “they don’t want us using a lot of cheese because it’s a fancy expensive cheese”. “Isn’t that what i paid for? This is ridiculous!” I said. It’s a grilled CHEESE sandwich. After a couple seconds of him staring at me he asked “do you want me to make you a new one?” Of course i do! When done he snidely says to me “here ya go!” Seriously? I will never go here again. If this is what the franchise or upper management is telling its stores to do,...
