I had a unexpected need to place a really large order due to an emergency in my family. I (regret to admit that I first called Domino's) however, they were very quick to explain that it was too close to the end of their night and although they feigned being sorry about my family emergency said that they simply could not help me because they had had a busy night and nobody there wanted to stay an extra 15 mins longer so they jokingly suggested I try Papa John's. Thier condescending attitude turned out to be my saving grace. I called Papa John's and immediently asked to speak to the manager , Jason L was his name and after hearing about what I was going through and the way I had just been treated by domino's he quietly asked me, what type crust would you like on your pizza. I couldn't believe my ears. I said, YOURE REALLY GONNA HELP ME? I WAS ALREADY IN TEARS.. Of course,Ma'am he said. It might take me a bit longer than Dominos because there are only 2 of us here but we will DEFINATELY make your order..less then 45 mins later I had paid and he helped me load the pizzas into my car on his way out the door as well. The final revenge was to walk past domino's and hear them loudly complaining about the fact that they still had so much to do, however Jason had just made some phenomenal pizzas in what I felt like was record breaking time, plus cleaned the store, and did his shift work, mostly all alone because he sent the other person working with him home as soon as the last pizza went into the oven and did his paperwork while they cooked. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of ordering from dominos to give Papa John's a try. They are less than 100 ft apart but the attitude, and the quality of the pizzas are literally light-years apart..I'll never use dominos again as long as I am close enough to home to be able to use this Papa John's and be treated like a customer truly should be. I hope the person in charge is reading this because your manager Jason deserves some major recognition (I'd go in the form of showing more of them on his paycheck) he just earned at least one loyal customer that personally spends good money weekly on pizza and will be sending a lot of business from friends and families. All thanks to Jason L...go in and see him and spend ur money with them...
Read morePapa John's used to be our favorite pizza place. We have lived all over colorado and order quite frequently. Over the last year or so they have progressively gotten worse.
Last night I ordered just wings because I didn't want to go shopping and cook and it was half off because the Rockies won (that is the only time we order papa johns anymore because it's just not worth it otherwise)
We get a call about an hour after we ordered from the delivery guy and he says "this is papa johns, I'm downstairs and can't see apartment numbers" forcing me to go down 4 floors (obviously apartment 410 is ON THE 4TH FLOOR) and he was just chillin in the middle of the court yard.
As if that wasn't bad enough we basically had unsauced wings when we ordered buffalo....good thing we were prepared for that since it happened last time and had wing sauce in the fridge.
We're done with Papa John's at this point.....the whole reason people order for delivery and pay extra to have it delivered is so they don't have to leave their home.
So thanks again for the disappointment and reinstalling the fact that your customer service and your product sucks.
Honestly, you can buy 4lbs of wings for $10 and they're bigger and better than this nonsense papa johns is trying to pass off. It wont let me post pictures of these things they call wings but as soon as I figure out...
Read moreOnline order gone terribly wrong. Placed an order recently online that was an hour and a half late then, wrong pizzas all together. Still paid for the pizza AND tipped the driver because I still got a product and the it was probably not the drivers fault. Called and explained situation to a manager that night to be told they would comp our next order and the guy apologized. Called back about a week later to be told there is nothing they can do and I would have to talk to the GM. Called back all this week to be told every time that he is not there. The general manager's name is supposedly Aaron who is supposedly there all of the time just not when I call. Mike who answered the phone this morning had SERIOUS attitude that floored me and only fueled my frustration. Grown men and women who put customer service as their lowest priority and have no pride in their job. These people work at Papa John's and act like their better than everyone else. This store already has a terrible reputation and a terrible rating. I am currently awaiting the district manager to call me. Mike and some other lady whom did not give me her name called me names and hung up on me several times and when I kept calling back they threatened to call the police. This is the worst pizza store I have EVER experienced PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM...
