So on FB, Santiago's was promoting their $1.25 breakfast burritos and we decided to go get some. Of course it all sounded great till we got there and saw the line all the way out the building. But since we drove 20 minutes we decided to wait in line to taste these highly touted breakfast burritos. We waited in line outside for 20 minutes only to find another long switchback line inside that took another 15 minutes. Got to the register and they were only offering potato/bacon burritos. Limit 5 per person. I paid and got my food literally in line 2 minutes flat. Dive all the way back home, got to the table and finally got the chance to sink my teeth into these bad boyz. I must say, not bad. For a buck and a quarter, not bad. But, in my opinion, not worth the wait. They were mainly filled with potatoes and a small piece of a bacon strip. Seriously, I could have gone to at least 5 other places and gotten the same quality of food in 5 minutes verses the hour it took. Been there, done that, won't do it again.

Santiago's has very good Mexican food including the lunch burritos. The breakfast burritos are okay but have suffered from the rising price of eggs. They are now dominated by the potato. They are still worth the price though. The pancakes were good. The coffee is average. The service was fine. They are oriented to moving people through fast for take-out orders. If you dine in, the employees who bring the food are much friendlier. The space is okay. It's very loud between the cashiers taking the orders, the person calling the take-out orders and the music. However, being loud and clear is a virtue when calling the orders. Things move quickly. They do have password protected Wi-Fi for guests. Parking is easy early. It may get more congested after the other businesses have opened.

2/24/24-First time ever being disappointed by a Santiago's. We both ordered the chile relleno, and when we got it the inside was still frozen. I don't think the cook knew that he had to thaw them before they fried them. We were actually chewing on little pieces of ice. Totally gross and the inside was watery from some of the ice melting. The rest of the food was super bland. Also the cashier lady wasn't very nice. I had been so excited when I had heard that they would be opening this location, but the quality of the food here is nothing like the other locations. Don't stop here and just drive up to the one on 6th Ave.

I wanted to like this place. I really did. My boyfriend and I went here after stopping in at Torchys and discovering their outrageous prices of $5.50 for one small taco. Santiagos was just a short walk away and we decided to try there instead in hopes of getting decent Mexican food at a reasonable price. We both ordered the small combo which came with a good deal of food, bean and cheese burrito, cheese enchilada, hard shell taco, and a tostada. When my boyfriend took his first bite he warned me that the food was steaming hot, and his was. I took my first bite and thought, well mine is warm, but not scalding. I ate the burrito first which was basically refried beans in a tortilla smothered in green chili. It was just ok. I felt it was too heavy on the refried beans. The green chili was good. The taco was ok as well, although very basic, with ground beef that didnt seem to be seasoned at all. I moved on to my cheese enchilada. When I cut into it, the cheese appeared to be the packaged shredded cheddar type, still in shredded form meaning it hadn't been heated long enough to even begin to melt the cheese. 😡. The tostada was more refried beans thickly slathered on the tostada shell. In addition, we ordered a side of chicharron, which was also, barely luke warm. Overall the only thing that stood out in a positive way was the green chili. The rest of the meal was just a sad...

I was so excited for this santiagos to open up. Came here with My four year old family member. We we're waiting to be seated. Very cold in the building. They brought us our food but no silverware. There was a Piece of plastic wrapper in the baby's food. I pulled it out and walked the plate up to the counter. Where a gentleman told me oh yeah, they We're cutting up some things and that is probably part of a wrapper. Then he said he would remake the plate. Well once he brings the other plate my plate is cold. The cups look chipped up like they were old. Our table was wobbly it was just a horrible experience. Not to bring up the prices but wow. Look At how much they charge you for anything extra. Sour cream lettuce and tomato cheese. All of those things are very expensive at this particular santiagos. It was a nightmare. We live down the street we thought we'd try again. The next time we went in we were seated we ordered our food and they put it in to go boxes. The gentleman laughed and said oh we didn't realize it was an order for here. That was just weird and we will not be coming back. The crazy part is I make amazing Mexican food. It was just the thought of being able to have something good to eat and Not have to cook that night. There is another mexican restaurant right across the street. I guess we'll have to try that place on the days that I don't feel like...

I am giving this particular location this rating. Normally I enjoy eating at Santiago's, however, not impressed with this location. First time was a good experience ... not this second time around. I ordered a simple chili cheese fry and a beef n bean burrito. Should be quick and easy. Nope. Note when I went in there was not a line, I just walked up and ordered. I waited for a good 15-20 min. While waiting I gave the benefit of the doubt thinking they had to drop my fries fresh...Nope. They have two large microwaves they really enjoy using. They should not have been used on fries....everyone knows what happens to fries when you microwave them...ya not happy with that. They should have dropped they fries fresh and then added the chili n cheese. The heat alone would have melted the cheese. Also remember I ordered a beef and bean....not what I got....I got just bean. I again gave them the benefit of the doubt of "hey well maybe they just didn't hear me right" nope it says it right there on the receipt. Not only was my order not up to par and what I had expected the inside just was not very clean. It was slower and the dining area was full of dirty tables. Now, again I do like Santiago's I am just not happy with this location. They may need to evaluate the staff and how motivated they are...
