I've been in the service industry for over 20 years and have never seen or experienced such horrible treatment. I was waiting in line with my 11 and 16 year old daughter's and my PTSD therapy dog. We were waiting for our drinks, and I was talking to a friendly couple next to us when an off duty employee of the coffee shop approached me and started berating me for the sin of wearing a sweatshirt with the star of David and IDF patches. (BTW 50% of Jews avoid wearing anything that identifies them as Jewish due to the violent antisemitism. ) You would think that management would step in and ask her to leave, or at least to leave Me alone? Nope, they said we both would have to leave! What did I do, I asked. The nice couple spoke up, confirming that I was just standing there minding my own business, and the off duty employee was bothering me. Their response was, " well you should have been the adult and walked away." Only problem was that I was waiting for our drinks, and had done nothing wrong. Oh I get it. The Jew should just shut up and take it! Unbelievable! I felt so bad for my 2 girls. It was a horrible experience for them. No they will not get my business ever again, and I'll make it my mission to spread the new of how horrible they treat...
Read moreThis was a spur of the moment choice, as we were looking for a coffee shop that was nearby, and the name intrigued me. I checked out the place a little on Google and it looked fun - plus 5 star review level with reviews in the triple digits, which is so rare. It did not disappoint. The vibe of this place is awesome - goth/horror withoutbeing over the top. Even cute horror themed coasters. It's a little off the beaten track, so I didn't expect it to be busy, but it was packed pretty much the whole time we were there (about an hour & a half). The seasonal section of the menu seems to change regularly, but I'm here for it because the selection is good. I honestly wish we lived closer (was a 15 or so minute drive) because I would probably go often. The drinks were tasty (I had the Pear Witch Project and tasted my bf's Maple Myers Cold Brew), and my lemon poppyseed scone was yummy as well. We got there just past 11 and they were low on pastries, but given how busy it was, that isn't surprising. It's connected to other horror themed businesses, which I love. Get your spooky vibes all year round at...
Read moreThere are not enough options for all the horror lovers out there so this place is a literal blessing! While I've only had the pleasure of going once so far (it's a bit far from me), it is one of my favorite places! Everyone is super kind and their seasonal menu never disappoints (the creativity is phenomenal!)
Pluuuus it's not just a coffee shop! It's connected to another room/part of the building that sells handmade wares (of course all horror themed.) I bought a handmade perfume here and it's one of my favorite scents of all time!
But because of this, seating is a bit limited! However I feel like you go there for the experience and walking around versus sitting (although it would be a super chill...
