Second Love Coffee is a true gem and such a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. My spouse and I tried two of their specialty drinks (Black Sesame Vanilla Latte and Pistachio Pomegranate Latte) which were both creative and perfectly balanced in flavor (read- not a sugar bomb and flavors compliment the coffee). We also tried some pastries from Lady Jaye bakery, and they were equally incredible—fresh, unique, and the perfect pairing with their drinks. We can’t wait to try everything else on their menu soon!
The space is beautiful— thoughtfully designed and cozy, with a warm community vibe and even views of the Puget Sound. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels like a local favorite. Love that it is housed in a building with lots of historical significance in Des Moines as well.

But what made the trip really wonderful was Scott. He was so friendly and knows so much about coffee, especially the local coffee roasters. The feel of the shop is relaxing and there's outdoor space as well. The fresh flowers on the tables were a beautiful addition (I love dahlias) and my Dad picked up his new favorite coffee mug, which was made by a local artist. Give this place a go. You'll be happy you supported such a...
