I ordered fish and it was very fishy tasting. I took two bites and didn’t like it. So I called and was told to bring it back. When I get there I gave back the order in exchange for Gumbo. I was told to pull up and someone will bring it out to me. I waited 10 minutes just for a bowl of Gumbo. Finally the lady brought the Gumbo out to me. I opened it and it smelled spoiled and had fat or something all on the top of it. I pulled back around and gave that order back. The manager asks me what’s wrong with the Gumbo I replied open it the smell will hit you in the face and look at the junk on top if it. She said well I’m not sure what it suppose to look like 🙄(really you work here) then she tell me I can get something else on the Menu. I said no thank you I will just take my $7 back. She then call the owner and was told she can’t refund my money! 😡 ok well I will sit her in your drive through until you do. I then called the number on the window which is to the owner but no one answered I also texted twice. Because on the window it said call or text if any problems. (They never returned my text or call and It’s now day 3.)So I asked her would you rather lose $7 or more because I’m not moving my car I’m going to sit at this window all day. Finally she comes back to the window after she notice a car sitting behind my car and she brings $5.30 (really) I said oh so now after being her 30 minuets your boss gives me this $5.30? We do seafood so we found this place and was hoping for a wonderful experience from a black-owned restaurant. Little did we know that we should have read the Google reviews first and took heed. We go through the drive through and was told to hold on a minute by a lady working on the inside. We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited but she never came back to take our order. I actually gave them the benefit of the doubt and allowed an extra 5 minutes just in case they were super busy on the inside or something. However, those 5 minutes came and went with no one coming back on to the intercom to take our order. So I decided that we would just get out of the line and fine another place to eat. This place wasted 10 minutes of my life. I will NEVER EVER return to this place and give them a second chance.
