On November 15, 2024 me and my wife came to this location at 1100am when they opened their doors. You know this place is popular and great when at 11am there is a long line ready to be let into the establishment. Me and my wife were seated immediately at a booth and were greeted by our waitress Tammy. Tammy helped us overlook the menu and gave us her recommendations. I started off ordering the in-house made root beer with my wife ordering strawberry Murphy alcoholic beverage. Our drinks were brought out very quickly. My root beer was served in a chilled mug and was delicious, I tried my wifeâs beverage and was probably one of the better mixed drinks I have had in a long time if not the best. Tammy brought us out some bread with butter which I donât know what was on the bread but man oh man was it delicious we tore it up. Tammy then brought us the 18 cent bean soup which is white bean with bacon, ham and other Ingredients which was top notch. My wife ended up ordering the onion and steak sauce burger with all its dressings, and I ordered the Shepards pie. My Shepards pie was to die for, it was absolutely loaded in a cast iron skillet that was very hot (donât touch I made that mistake and no it wasnât told to me it was hot). Hands down the best Shepards pie I have ever ate, so savory and so much food it was filling. I tasted my wifeâs burger and while it was great the steak sauce wasnât a big pleaser for either of us but my lord do you get A-LOT of meat on that burger. Itâs beyond filling, she ate half the burger and I ate the other half for dinner later that night. Overall the price for both of us with the bread, soup, multiple drinks, and meals were $57 which in todayâs climate is about average for any eatery which is fantastic. For that price you are overly filled and pleased I promise you will not be disappointed with how much bang you get for your buck. The atmosphere is what you would expect for an Irish themed pub and is very nice. The staff is very polite and friendly with great hospitality. While being waited on our table by Tammy I watched as other people received great service from other waitresses/ waiters and would give them all 5 stars. Definitely will Be back again...

Tonight was great craic! Summerâs grand stretch in the evenings made us seek out a place for good grub. If youâve ever wondered what itâs like to dream about money and dine with a unicorn, McGuireâs Irish Pub in Destin is your dream come true. Itâs a steakhouse, pub, and dollar-bill art gallery, and 100% culinary greatness.
From the moment youâre greeted by the legendary statue of McGuire himself (I think he winked at me while holding his pint), youâre swept into a quirky, magical atmosphere where leprechauns might be running the kitchen or the bar and the dĂ©cor looks like St. Patrickâs Day married Wall Street.
Letâs talk Bradâour server, pub legend, and probably a mind reader. He knew what we needed before we did. My margarita never ran dry. Friendly, fast, and flawless. If I could Yelp-review just Brad, Iâd give him an honorary knighthood and a six-star rating.
Now, the prime rib was bleedingâ delicious? Oh, honey. It didnât just cut like butter, it melted me like a love song. I considered proposing to it but my husband objected. The black wheat breadâwarm, rich, light sweet glazeâdeserved its own cultural parade. Letâs just say it made me rethink every carb-cutting decision Iâve ever made. And, if things arenât strange enough the sushi was better than anything I ate while living in Japan, Arigato gozaimasu. Above all else the McGuireâs Red Ale and holler, slĂĄinte!
The hosts, chefs, wait staff, and even the behind-the-scenes cleanup crew deserve a standing ovation (and maybe a raise?). This team runs smoother than Irish whiskey on a cool night. Every corner of this place radiates joyful hospitality, seasoned perfectly with hard work and heart.
If laughter, delicious food, and the Irish Roguesâ charm had a baby, it would be McGuireâs. Go for the steak, play with the unicornsâand donât forget to leave your dollar on the wall. Just maybe not your last one⊠youâll need it to come back. It is the best place to...
Read moreItâs not typically a place I would visit based on how large and tourist trap like it looks. However, I heard so much great feedback on the food we decided to try it. The food is great. We really did enjoy it. The bean soup unexpected was delicious and everything was fresh.
The cons? Our service was below average. Probably some of the worst service Iâve experienced in awhile. I was in the service industry for 15 years so I always try to be patient and understanding but our waitress was just aloof and uninformstive.
We ordered the ribs and she asked if we wanted a half rack or full. We ordered half. When they brought our food they handed us a full rack. We explained it might not be itâs because we ordered half. Come to find out⊠the waitress informed us after the fact they donât serve half racks at dinner. So, she charged us the full rack and submitted it without even telling us. I donât mind phasing the extra charge for ribs but not telling us nor adjusting the bill to rectify her mistake seemed out of line.
She also went missing for long periods of time. I have a 3 year old and at one point I had to go searching for another server just to refill his water.
Iâm 7 mo this pregnant and she left me on empty on my drink too until we were finished eating and she finally came back around. Also, we ordered a ton of food. Because Iâm pregnant and it was delicious⊠but she let all the dirty plates and dishes pile up while we ate because she literally never came back around. So, we were battling keeping our toddler away from dirty dishes and finding space to eat as more food came.
We wanted dessert but by the time she came back around we were over the experience and left.
Iâd go back for the food but Iâd take a longer wait time to avoid that server completely because this wasnât even a busy night for them. Just completely poor an...
