Coyote Ugly Saloon — Restaurant in Destin

So! Met one of the girls on fb in advance of our trip to Destin for NYE. From photos the place seemed pretty cool... Boy was I wrong! First let me back up... This girl I met on fb seemed friendly but then I saw the pics... Apparently guys like sending her "dick pics" and she will take them and post them on fb, of course clouded out. At first it seemed funny, but now I see how she and her little game fit in with the girls in the bar. We had also been told buy the Hooters girls Coyote ugly was very "scankie".... Which seems to be the case. So! The visit.... We walk in to an empty club and go over to the bar. We start conversation with the "girl behind the bar" definitely not a "BAR TENDER". I asked if the girl I had met on fb was in yet cus we had said we'd do some shots.... Well to my surprise she was off and the girl seemed amused by me asking... At the same time my friend asked for a double in a tall glass... the "girl behind the bar" seemed confused and didn't understand. After trying to explain it to her she ran up stairs, after a minute or two she returned to only tell us they couldn't do that... HAHA! WHAT?? Now I'm confused... Now another girl comes over and tried to explain how they make a double in a tall glass... They use the little plastic cups that is barely a full sized drink, put 2 shots in it and then add the mix and ice.... Again! WHAT!? Now remembering the club is empty we're wanting to spend money this was a very calm conversation... At first! Now this "Richard Simmons" want-a-be has shown up with his belly hanging out and mouth full of food saying he's the manger.. So I say to him... This is how you make a double in a tall glass? At this point things are a little out of hand and its clear this isn't a very reputable place. But here's the kicker.... As we're leaving the little girl that was behind the bar says ... we only use our tall glasses for water... HAHAHA! WHAT!?! Such a shame... Definitely lack of training and leadership. All of that for nothing and now have lost a customer wanting to spend money at the bar. By the way! The girls at Hooters... Outstanding, Funny, on...

Lets start at the beginning. I was down in Destin for a bachelor party and we stayed next door at the Emerald Grande. When we first arrive the place was a ghost town. My first impression was a disappointment but we decided to grab a bite to eat and return. After returning the crowd was dim but we decided to stay. I bought the first round and paid cash. I paid my $15 tab w a 1990's bank issued $100 bill. I found it strange that the young girl questioned the bill at first but disregarded her ignorance thinking it was age and maybe she didn't recognize the bill. After about 5 mins she brought me my change and all was well. Well.... 10 mins later a Police officer asked if he could speak to me outside. I obviously complied and was questionable as to what the issue was since we have been there for maybe 20 mins. He was very respectful and asked me if I was aware I was accused of circulating counterfeit money. Of course I was blown away that I Was being accused of this and asked of he had anyway to prove of the oney was counterfeit. After a long drawn out discussion w the "manager" who may I add was a white trash piece of garbage we found that they weren't equipped w any way of checking the money and all of this was going off the assumption of the manager. The officer agreed that the bill looked real and finally a bystander brought a pen and they checked the bill I gave the bartender. Guess what??? It was real. The manager made a poor attempt to apologize and Of course I told him Exactly what I thought of his uneducated, unprofessional and ridiculous actions. I can only hope someone reads this and spares themselves the headache. Walk 50 yards south and find yourself at Ajs a much cleaner bar w a nice crowd and not some low rent low life making accusations that could harm someone future. In closing I would rate this place a Negative if I could but unfortunately Google...

Kicked me out because apparently I bought an underage person a drink. Checked my tab and saw that there was nothing and then tried to convince me I paid in cash. I didn’t buy anybody a drink and literally did not buy myself a drink there either. Some 18-year-old took a drink of some alcohol he wasn’t supposed to have and I was blamed. Was there 5 nights in a row with no issue until tonight. I think the staff was just mad that I wasn’t spending money. I went to rotten apples for ladies night where girls drink free before going to coyote which is why I didn’t spend a dime there. Again an example of men getting an advantage over girls. 18 year old takes a sip out of somebodys drink that isn’t even mine considering I didn’t buy a drink and I’m blamed just because I’m next to him? A place like this need to hire people without a horrible attitude. I have loved all the bartenders, until the girl with the dark lipstick and curly hair. First of all, obviously, because she accused me of something I never did, and second of all because she had a horrible attitude. All the girls that danced on the bar (which are told will get a free shot) she would roll her eyes at and relentlessly give them a shot. Dj also groped me and my friends. A lot of the staff they have here is great, but some of the people they hire is questionable. I debated going back after the dj harassed me and my friends and touched us inappropriately, but I did. Horrible...
