Exceptional Experience at Saigon Spice!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saigon Spice in Destin, Florida, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a fantastic evening. The décor was tasteful and modern, with subtle hints of Vietnamese culture.

The service was truly exceptional. Our server, [Nicholas], was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. They took the time to explain each dish and made excellent recommendations. The staff's enthusiasm for the food and drinks was contagious, and it added to the overall dining experience.

The food was, without a doubt, the highlight of our visit. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the [Pho A.4 and A.7 chicken crossiant and the B.6 Bulgolgi beef Bahn mi ]. Each bite was a masterclass in flavors, textures, and presentation. The dishes were expertly prepared, and the use of fresh ingredients was evident. The portions were generous, and we left feeling satisfied but not overwhelmed.

If I could give this negative stars I would. Meat was extremely fatty/gristly (see photos) and all orders were missing the eggrolls that were supposed to come on top. We tried calling the restaurant numerous times to get it rectified but they never answered their phone. We kept getting redirected to a voice message that asked us to input a code. We tried for two hours until they closed and they never answered. Tried going through door dash to get a partial refund but they said there was nothing they could do. $100 down the drain for a very dismal dinner. Would NOT recommend!! In the first photo, it shows how much fat instead of meat they served - what you see in that photo is all fat and no meat. The second photo shows the total meat serving with yellow marks around all parts that were fat or gristle instead of meat. Total ripoff merchants that they're charging $100...

I really wanted to like this place because it’s cute and cozy inside, but the food was a big disappointment. The rice and chicken plate tasted like it had just been reheated lukewarm rice, plain flavor, and chicken that looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Definitely not fresh. The bulgogi was the only highlight it was sweet and decent.

The banh mi sandwiches were pretty good (probably the best option here) and the boba tea was okay, but not amazing. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn’t come as advertised, and for the price, it honestly isn’t worth it.

There were also quite a few flies inside, which was distracting while eating. Overall, I’d say skip the bowls and plates here. If you do go, the banh mi and maybe the boba are...
