Crab Island Pontoons — Attraction in Destin

I recently had the pleasure of taking a Crab Island adventure with Captain Kevin, and it was an unforgettable experience for me and my two boys. From the very start, Captain Kevin paid meticulous attention to every detail, ensuring our safety and comfort throughout the trip. Seriously, this guy is like a combination of MacGyver and Aquaman! Captain Kevin’s friends (and owner of the company, Angel) added to the excitement by showing us crabs and puffer fish found in the seagrass nearby. My boys were thrilled, and I was just happy no sea life mistook my toes for bait. Captain Kevin assured us that any dangerous sea life avoided the area bc humans clearly occupied it these days 😊 He provided us with paddle boards, a floating mat, and a relaxing floating hammock—essentially transforming our boat into a floating island paradise! One of the highlights was when Captain Kevin summoned some dingy boats offering burgers, nuggets, and tropical fruits. We opted for the coconut, which a young man skillfully cut open while balancing on an inflatable dingy boat. It was like watching a circus act, but with coconuts. For everyone’s safety, Captain Kevin tied the dingy boat to our pontoon boat: Excellent awareness skills! He even accepted our order for us while keeping an eye on my kids as they zoomed down the slide and being aware enough to be sure the slide had water for a smooth slide! Who else does that?!! Talk about multitasking—he could juggle flaming torches next! The burger was DELICIOUS btw! And! We saw a Chic-Fil-A dingy boat after we ordered nuggets from the burger boat - wow! Captain Kevin’s local knowledge was impressive. He predicted the water color change within 15 minutes due to the low tide, bringing in darker water and grass. It was like having a marine weather channel right there on the boat. When we decided it was time to head back, Captain Kevin was ready to go immediately—like he had a Bat-signal for boating. This Captain was on it! In addition to all this, Captain Kevin gave us a crash course on the planes flying overhead from the nearby military base and offered other activity options, like snorkeling and dolphin watching near the bridge. Captain Kevin is the perfect "Florida man" for hire, making our day absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for a trip that’s fun and educational, this is the one! I highly recommend this company and urge you to request Captain Kevin for an exceptional adventure. His professionalism, expertise, and genuine care made our trip to Crab Island unforgettable....

Awesome service you must use these guys they were amazing!! Captain Angel and Captain Harrison were great they made the process easy and our experience was amazing from scheduling the service, meet up to actually enjoying our adventure out to crab island with Captain Harrison. These guys are the best most of my family pictures from being out at crab island were taken by them! My family of 6 with 4 kids (13,9,4,2) had a blast the water was perfect, they provided all toys and water accessories. Their service was top notch felt like they were apart of the family. We even got Captain Harrison to come out and slide down the slide with the kids! Captain Harrison was very informative about the area and we even got a chance to see Dolphins!! He made sure to anchor us off to an area where the kids would feel comfortable to play and access to all the vendors which was awesome! Captain Angel came over to introduce himself and make sure we were enjoying ourselves that was very nice!! Then while we were snorkeling he came back to show us what he had found which was a crab and allowed all the kids to see which was pretty cool and educational!! We recently went on two days of cruises with Crab Island Pontoons! The first one was so great we had to go back for another trip out! Jake, our first captain took us out to the island, after an awesome and very patient dolphin, sea turtle, and sting ray sight seeing tour, and then brought us to get take-out at a great local seafood restaurant on the bay, then took us for a boat ride tour while we ate, through the harbor. We literally felt like we had our own private chauffeur! The next day we wanted to go out for more paddle boarding so Angel hooked us up with a deal for a couple hours that very day! He always responded sooo quickly with text messages too. He brought us out to the island and during conversation we told him we were looking for sea shells, so after the island he brought us to a little beach to look for shells! My whole family had a great time, he even helped look and found several for us too! My 6 year old daughter absolutely loved him, calling for him and following him around!
