PAPI’S Tacos & Burger Eatery — Restaurant in Destin

Cashier was friendly and patient with us since we didn't know what we wanted. Was charged for extra drink and more for the chorizo and egg tacos we ordered, they are listed as 2.99 each but was charged 3.49 each, we did add potatoes in them, but that was an extra charge separately at .50 each taco, I did go up and let her know about the drink and just let the extra amount for the tacos go. There is also a service fee added on which was not listed anywhere I could see. Food was ok, our plates came out at different times with people who came after us getting their food before our table had theirs. So the first couple who got their food first were finished by the time the other plates were given out to others at our table. Our order came with chips and salsa which was a nice addition that I didn't see advertised, thought we would have to pay for that. The salsa was not very good, the Verde was the best out of the three. Mild was pretty runny, treated a bit old and bland, the hot was spicier but did not have much flavor going for it, Verde had some good kick and flavor. Portions were smaller than most other Mexican restaurants, the kids meals had almost the same portions as the plates for almost half the price. Service was so good to the point I forgot to take pictures of the menu😭, literally there’s choices of pancakes for kids, there are scrambled eggs, burgers, and tacos for anyone that’s there to go. This place's menu is giving for breakfast and brunch. I without a doubt think there’s potential for expanding the menu for more lunch choices. The service was 10/10 very attentive and friendly. Key note - you gotta order in the front. Food was great taking into account the amount of staff they had one would think good food would take long, yet that was not the case. I like it when the owners are there. The music was so loud the last time I went there for lunch and it was two new younger people working that day. I couldn't barely talk to my family member just across from me bc the music was so loud, and both my family member and I are very hard of hearing. If you are handicapped, use a walker or wheelchair, it is more difficult to get through inside especially. The front door sticks open and I know they don't have any control over that. That's a landlord issue, not the fault of the restraunt. Great food and great variety for good $.
