STOLEN GIFTCARD:
Usually good experiences at this location. Last night though we went in and spent a pretty decent amount (new car seat, baby food, etc). It was after a long day, we were tired… when ringing up the items, the cashier stopped and we handed them our merchandise card and one gift card. He went to scan them but he then realized there were more items to scan, and put the cards down in front of him. When the final total came up, we used cash and being tired (and spending a decent chunk of change) did not realize the gift card and merchandise card were not applied. It was not until we got home that we realized when we checked the receipt that they were not used. We called the store and they confirmed via watching the camera footage that we did hand the cards over to the cashier and they confirmed that the merchandise card was turned in, but the gift card is missing. Totally on us for not catching the gift card not being applied, I guess, but not assistance from Target. I hope whoever has the card, makes use of it.
At the time of writing this, the GM was able to give us the merchandise card, but we are still missing the $50 gift card. The gift card hotline won’t help and neither will the GM at Destin.
Update, changed to two-stars because Allie with customer service through Target’s national gift card support reissued the gift card. She was great. After all the hours multiple people spent, more than the $50 worth of...
Read moreFor a company that calls themselves inclusive and for everyone, not having a single cashier at a register and requiring everyone to use self checkout seems against that. I have a physical injury that requires a brace on my hand and it’s very painful. I went to checkout my items and realized there were no cashiers open. I asked the lady that worked there that was standing by the self checkouts if she could call someone to assist and she proceeded to tell me there wasn’t anyone only self check out. After asking 4 times and explaining that all the self checkout lanes were full and a huge line behind me, she opened a register herself to check me out, which was nice. There were other older people in line that tried to get in line behind me and she had to tell them over and over that she couldn’t ring them up that only self checkout was open. I’m honestly shocked that target couldn’t have one person on the schedule as a cashier. It’s not the employees fault, management needs to make it a priority to be able to accommodate customers with disabilities and for those that can’t do it themselves. I felt extremely embarrassed that I had to ask for help more than once. Just another reason not...
Read moreThe Destin, Florida Target is an almost daily visit for me or a member of my family, and for my business. The entire store is bright, clean, and well-stocked. Prices are very good -- usually just as good or better than others -- but the employees are cheerful, friendly, and helpful and the quality of the merchandise (especially clothing) is far superior.
We are a family of four, so saving on groceries is a key feature of shopping at Target! Fresh produce, excellent selection of canned and dry foods, and the dairy and frozen food cases are full of name-brand products at great prices.
My wife loves the cosmetic selections and the housewares section. My two adult sons are always there for anything electronic or home and car maintenance items.
Target's the perfect place to buy all the supplies for our business. We own a yacht that we charter for day tours. Target is our go-to for bottled water, sodas, snacks, paper towels, plates and cups, and all the things our passengers need for their comfort and enjoyment.
We love...
