Papacitos Burritos Detroit Lakes — Restaurant in Detroit Lakes

I have been a customer of Papacitos for several years and have always enjoyed their food.

But, I have chosen to stop eating there now due to the sanitation practices of one employee. The first time this employee made a meal for me they gloves up then immediately started touching their hair to pull a scrunchy out before touching my food. This made my sick to my stomach and I didn't eat the food. But I chalked it off to a 1 time situation and didn't go back to eat in the evening for a while.

The second time I went this employee was working again and gloved up to make my food. This time she gloved up and started touching her glasses and face before taking her glasses off to clean them...with her gloves still on. She then went to make my food, but I left.

Tonight I went in to see this employee working. Usually I will just walk by the doors if I see her working, but I decided to wait and see if her sanitation practices had improved. Can't argue with a hungry stomach 🤷🏼. As soon as she was done making a meal for another customer and handling his change with her gloves on, she started handling food for a door dash...with her gloves still on. Gloves she was touching her face and money with. I left at that point.

She's a nice kid, but this is incredibly unsanitary and contaminated all the food she was working with. I don't foresee coming back to...

Tried Papacitos again today, but another disappointment 😞. The same girl that had her hair down today was wearing a tube top, at least she had her hair up. However I am Servsafe certified management course and you are supposed to have your armpits covered up when handling food, it is just plain disgusting to have your food made by someone who has their armpits hanging out there!! Also same as last time didn't get the right amount of meat on the burrito and when you pay extra for more meat the least you could do is give us the right amount!! The rice was undercooked as well as the beans. I am so sad that Papacitos is going downhill. On the plus side they had three people on the line and the line went fast, an improvement, but still doesn't help outweigh all...

Papacito's has really gone downhill since the new owners took over. Line isn't stalked so you can't get what you want food is cold and the quasi looks disgusting. Then you have a line with three or four people in it and two guys behind the counter but one is standing with his hands behind his back at the register doing nothing. Then when a girl comes out to help she didn't have her shoes on properly and had her hair down with no hair net on didn't wash her hands before she came up to help make burritos and then we didn't even get the amount of meet on our burrito that you're stopped to ge. tSo it takes forever to get your food. Then they close early all the time and aren't open when they're supposed to be. THE NEW OWNERS SHOULD TAKE A LITTLE MORE PRIDE IN...
