I ordered a big boss burrito with no cheese and no sour cream, then a small meat and potato burrito meal with no cheese and sour cream and then 2 tacos with a drink. The waitress Madison clearly couldn't hear me as the music is way too loud in here so I made sure to repeat myself and she nodded as if she heard me. When I got back to my table I noticed that it didn't say no cheese and no sour cream on the receipt under the meat and potato burrito so I came back up to the register hoping to catch them before they make the burrito. I let her know about it and then returned to my table, a few minutes later she returned with the meat and potato burrito with just the burrito and my wife asked about the rest of the food. She said she thought that they had already brought it out and I explained that she didn't, I just wanted to catch them before they made it, I pointed out how it didn't say what I asked for on the receipt and that's when she told me that I didn't tell her the first time. I know for a fact that I did, my wife even heard it, but let's entertain this thought for a moment and say that maybe it was my mistake, which it wasn't. You never blame the customer without irrefutable proof. I wanted to prevent a burrito from having to be remade. Next time I'll wait and just go back up afterwards and let them remake it.
Now the atmosphere wasn't that great, a lot of the employees were clearly being hyper and making a lot of excessive noises in the back. Dumb thing to complain about I guess but I can't help but think if they toned down the music and banter in the back this situation might not have happened at all.
Lastly, the food is always good at taco John's so I can't in good conscious...
Read moreFor the most part, it was exactly what you would expect from a fast food taco John's But the problem is I don't think they have enough people hired and/or are paying them enough so that they will work much past just showing up. They technically did everything right. They we're polite. The worker who helped me. Admittedly, they did not know how to run registers well, and no other employees seemed to know how to run the machines much at all. The building manager, the only person wearing a dress shirt+pants with the TJ logo, did nothing that i could see to help the distraught employees. The registers were not fully working as I got incorrect change but I can't provide proof as I also did not receive a receipt, the only reason for today's "purchase" was from a gift card I received for helping someone earlier, though i ordered more thenthe card covered, and i payed for the rest of it. Most likely, I will not come back unless I every other place is full Oh BTW the 3$ crunch nacho chicken plainly sucks, barley any material for it, and my first bite was only tortilla and chip bits, no meat, no nacho cheese, no sauce 😑. The little bit that is there looks like it was stuffed in to 1 end. I don't have a good way to end this review, so I'll just leave it as unfulfilling, just like my experience. Update: I just tried to get food on May 2nd, and no one was serving up front, and the self-service was not working. I left not getting any...
Read moreThe food was very good. It was put together in manner in which I could see the person that assembled my order cared about his job and how well the food was prepared. The employee taking my order was pleasant and friendly. BUT, there was an issue with how long it was taking for orders to come out. I personally had to wait at least, 30 minutes for my order. One customer had to leave before he got his order because it was taking so long. I over heard him say he was on his lunch break from work and was going to be late getting back because he waited so long and got absolutely nothing out of it. A third customer had been waiting so long her husband came in to see what was going on and what was taking so long. He had watched as cars came and left the drive thru lane in less time than they had been waiting. I know staffing is a problem almost every where, but if that is or was the case and it was going to take a little longer than usual, tell the customers that and than at least everyone would understand why the long wait. Lucky for me and the associates, I wasn't in any hurry or it wouldn't have been good. I'm a patient person usually but going in to a fast food restaurant when you're in a hurry and it's taking 30 minutes or more to get my order, that would have been...
