We stopped here before a concert based solely on the location, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food is good; it's a nice, pretty basic taco joint. I tried the steak, hot chicken, and pork (without the mango salsa) tacos and, by far, the best was the pork. All the tacos were great, but the pork was exceptionally wonderful. We also got an order of the queso, which was pretty decent. The place is pretty quick and it was very busy when we were there, which feels like it would be a normal thing. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are only a few tables, 3-4, and two long bars on either side of the door with stools to sit, so seating is very limited. Overall, we really enjoyed the place and will definitely be back when we are in the area. It's right next to (the new location of)...

Quesadillas are my thing, though that doesn't make me a Mexican food aficionado. Nevertheless, I've had my share of tacos and burritos. That's pretty much what you'll get at hot taco: no quesadillas, enchiladas, just tacos or burritos, oh, and maybe chips. They're pretty good: I'd say a notch above the franchise joints. On the flip side, too generic; the only difference between a Hot Taco taco and a burrito is the tortilla. One other thing: there's something about the food that just puts me off; I can't place it; it just tastes funny. Maybe it's the interchangeable fillings. Another plus is the variety of the fillings, so, if you like they're food, and want to eat there again, you probably...

I’ve been visiting Detroit for work and scouting locations to eat at on Google Maps. What caught my attention about this place was the first photo on Google with the bottle of Cholula hot sauce surrounded by tacos and a burrito. Those tacos look hearty and homemade. I’ve included a photo of what my tacos look like for comparison. Yeah, I know food styling and all that, but if you are looking for gut-busting tacos and burritos this isn’t the place. One of my pet peeves about taco places that aren’t authentic taquerias is that so much of the food is precooked and kept warm. The tacos I had were flavorful, but the lukewarm ingredients and tortillas really lessened their impact and...

Do you like Hot Tacos? Then you'll love this place! These tacos are so damn good. Honestly to 5 taco places for me. First off they are cheap like a taco is supposed to be. They are sauced up like crazy. Really damn good sauce too. Especially on the chicken tacos but those are a little soggy because of the sauce. For your pick 3 try the pork, chicken and chorizo your first visit. You won't be disappointed.
