Ever since Treat Dreams left for good, Midtown has been in need of a new ice cream spot to take over.
I’m happy to report that Ice Cream Detroit is more than up to task and is stepping up to provide Midtowners the ice cream they need!
The ice cream served here is so fresh that it almost has a gelato like texture. It’s not clumpy and there’s no freezer burn with any of the flavors. It’s much better than Treat Dreams in that regard.
I had the liquor infused butter pecan with whip cream and all the fixings.
I’ve been eating butter pecan since I was a child. I consider myself a connoisseur of sorts. This was the best butter pecan I’ve ever had.
I think the liquor gave it a sweetness that I’ve never experienced before and, like I mentioned before, the texture was second to none.

Ysahi runs Ice Cream Detroit and she’s just an awesome person who is just extremely passionate about her craft. She does an excellent job running the place and you can tell upon meeting her where the creativity of the store comes from.

I got the strawberry, as I’m currently pregnant, and my husband got the Double Dip which is an espresso martini flavor. Everything tasted amazing and had such a fun, creative twist. Plus, it’s women-owned, which makes supporting them even sweeter! We will definitely...

This is year...
