Third Man Records — Local services in Detroit

I guess you never know who you'll run in to there because....We met Jack White today! I surprised my daughter w/ a hookie day from school and took her to Third Man Records because it was her 14th birthday. When we pulled up I jokingly said "what if Jack White is there"...she said "yeah right. no way!" and we proceeded to walk in the store. We were absolutely amazed at the store. Such a nice area down there now, and this store is the coolest! It is almost museum-like with neat things sprinkled through out and the staff was friendly too. The record factory was really neat to view also. Good vibes, man. Great prices, in my opinion. We were totally impressed, then...out of nowhere appears Jack White-walking through the store like nothing! He was SO nice! He waved, said "hi" and shook our hands. I told him it was my daughters birthday and he pulled her in for a hug and told her happy birthday...then in a flash he was gone. I think it's safe to say, this birthday is one for the books. What a cool guy-with great talent and a generous spirit. I'm thankful that he's helping to put some sparkle...

Wow! I’m a bit late to the party but what an awesome destination. You can plan a day trip around this place. Simply visiting Third Man Records in Detroit is a genuine experience. From the moment you walk through the front door you can see what a cool place this is. The attention to detail - from the sophisticated loft-style architecture, bold use of primary colors, vintage interior elements, and the captivating lighting - there is eye candy everywhere. . Third Man Records - Detroit - is a (lp vinyl) record store and if you didn’t already know there is a large lp vinyl (record) pressing factory in the back - which you can view from a large glass wall overlooking the operation. Also there is plenty of stylish merch. In addition to everything else this place has a stage for live concerts. Can’t emphasize enough just how awesome it is to visit… This place rewrites the meaning...

Elite driving force focused on keeping amplified alive and so many more surprises hidden around every corner for the past 20 years, these people are think tank and they work symbolically together. I can understand how a company could become a family stay together. Stay continuously, leaving in a state of all and what’s to happen next I can’t say anything better about this company. I wouldn’t take the words, integrity and value systems to lightly here when I speak of this record store and every other independent record store out there leading the way, and providing away for us to have no interrupted commercials while we’re trying to listen to an entire album I love you guys take care have a very healthy, wealthy, prosperous Rest of the summer and don’t forget to pick up Natalie BERGMANN‘s new album so excited also special shots to Craig Brown.
