I'm a WSU employee and I treated my daughter and grand daughter to a day of plays starting at the Fox Theatre and ending at The Bonstelle Theatre, in celebration of my daughters 40th birthday. Mamma Mia was a pure delight from start to finish but it was ruined by the horrible heat in the theatre. I'm not talking uncomfortably warm, I'm talking obnoxiously hot to the point of making us sick. We were sitting up in the balcony and they opened an exit door during intermission but closed it as soon as the play started back up. When you spend nearly $90 to go to a play you want to enjoy the experience and not be subjected to intolerable conditions. They should also note on their website that the seats in the balcony are so close together that both my daughter and I had our knees crammed right up to the seat in front of us. I don't think my 6' 3" grandson would have been able to fit. It wasn't that hot of a night so I don't know why they didn't insert a fan in the doorway if they didn't want to turn on the air. The part of white land owners were played by African American actors. This made it a bit confusing until you figured it out.
The main character of Harriet was often hard to understand as she did not pronounciate her words fully. We were close to the front so that was very disappointing.
Parking is impossible! Many panhandlers wherever you park.
