First off, I would not have given any stars but would not let me leave a review without at least 1 star. So, we decided to try Stella Good Coffee inside the Fisher Building this afternoon, excited to try yet another coffee shop. We walked in and that is where it quickly plunged downhill. The employee who was behind the counter (who did not greet us warmly, let alone at all), will be the reason I will never be back. She was very cold and had absolutely no customer service in her DNA. I went in with a great attitude and left wondering why this coffee shop would employ such a person with no personality whatsoever. Coffee shop people are usually very friendly and happy...not her. I don't like leaving bad reviews and I always try to make a bad situation good (giving the benefit of the doubt), but this employee never even attempted to redeem herself. She did, however, provide me with a blank stare as I was trying to make conversation...very awkward and uncomfortable, to...
Read moreUpdate: The vibe of this place is so chill and calming. It's cozy, the music is always soothing, and the coffee is consistently so good. I absolutely love their sugar-free caramel latte. Their team (Glenn and Mekka) are also kind, calm, and chill. I love this place.
Update: they are one of the few places that offer the sugar-free caramel flavor to add to a latte, and I love it. Their lattes are delicious.
First time impression: this place is a hidden treasure! A great coffee shop offering very pleasant coffee including pour over. One of the two kind baristas, Mecca, told me their beans are from Cadillac Roasters. Despite having a small footprint, they have a cute little variety of seating options, and the music is some form of upbeat jazz; all within the scope of cozy...
Read moreThe coffee here is solid, but the service is so bad that I actually dread going here. The woman barista is very welcoming, kind, and is easy to converse with. The man, who I think is the owner or manager, is very cold and only warm with a select group of people. He doesn’t welcome you in and actually ignores you lol, he has a judgmental face while you order, and once your coffee is done, it’s carelessly plopped on the counter (rarely mixed - if iced) with a lackluster “here ya go.” When you say thank you, he always responds with a tired “yup.” And, same as the welcome, there isn’t a goodbye. The stars are for the woman barista, the environment, the products, the music, the places to sit & work, the location,...
