When I come downtown, I visit this place before I go to our company headquarters for meetings. So this is a place I had enjoyed visiting when I do come downtown. Upon my last visit, the lady with the short black blonde hair and with glasses interjected her comment when I wasn't even in conversation with her at all. I was asked by the counter attendant what kind of pizza I wanted and she spoke and greeted me with a smile. I saw that the supreme pizza was coming up and wanted two slices of that. Not knowing the couple behind me had the entire pizza. I was spoken too by the black blonde hair lady in a unprofessional manner. Her attitude and her statement saying, "that's not for you" was uncalled for as I wasn't even speaking with her. I could of made a scene and went there, but as a professional I try to pick my battles professionally. I am big on customer service and companies have to properly train employees on how to talk and interact with customers. Doesn't matter how old or young the worker is. You can't just say what you feel, especially when I was not talking to the lady with the blonde hair at all. Based on quite a few reviews already, it seems this is an ongoing issue with customer service from the deli area but my first and possible last as I don't patronize bad customer service. You never know the type of customer coming in so be cordial, customer friendly and respectful. After the display of unprofessional behavior, I don't know if I want to patronize the deli portion...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about ZZ's - from the food to their service, they are 12 / 10. I recently contracted ZZ's to cater a very large, 3-day event my company produced in Downtown Detroit. I live in NYC and have worked with many catering companies over the years, and ZZ's is top tier. Not only did they give us a great rate, tons of F&B options, and were extremely communicative prior to launch, but they were so lovely and helpful onsite. Their staff was kind, engaging, clean and efficient. Alex and Chef Russell were a dream to work with. Every day they brought complimentary lunch, snacks and drinks for our production team and the client. They truly went above and beyond every step of the way, and we couldn't be more grateful (my favorites were the greek salad and pizza - and I'm a New Yorker!) If you're fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with them or eat in-house -...
Read moreWe were supposed to go to Harry's across the street but they were too busy we decided to go here for food before the game instead. Great selection in this little store, lots and lots of drinks as well as a huge hot and ready-made food selection. I got a pastrami sandwich and it was excellent. The ladies both at the hot food counter and the register were very friendly to us. I can't believe how cheap beer is in the states, and they had a great selection here! We will be definitely be back to grab a bite before our...
