Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Dickinson

Very disappointed with my experience at the Dickinson ND Jimmy Johns!! The manager I dealt with was very unprofessional and rude. I applied for the inshop position and scheduled an interview. I do not have a vehicle so I had to walk about a mile one way. When I showed up for my interview, I was told no managers were there so I could not do my interview and had to come back another day. I walked back 2 days later and a manager was there. I explained to him that I had applied and scheduled an interview online. He proceeded to tell me they were not hiring and walked off. I did not get an apology!! When I got home I looked at my application to make sure of which position I applied for. I called and spoke to him, explaining that they need to make people aware on the application that they should not schedule interviews online, as well as to take it down if they were not hiring anymore. To the owner: I don't think I had a bad experience.

biggest let down is the portion size to cost ratio. tastes good but for the amount you spend, you could open a bank account. quantities are measured like subway but cost more.

also, the staff is a bit odd. lots of dyed hairs, piercings, and "alternative lifestyle" types. you don't know if you should 'ma'am' or 'sir' some of them and if that bothers you..... well they serve sandwiches in other places.

I will say regardless of their odd ways, staff is ALWAYS polite and prompt. it's certainly not the staffs unique style that gets this score lower, it's actually the main reason it's so high.

update: I have been back a few times since and I'm realizing that this place is faster than most fast food joints. so I've upgraded my rating. wasn't busy and my sandwich was made before I was finished paying for it. you literally can't ask for...

Normally I've been pretty impressed with the Jimmy John's here in town. One time I had placed an order for delivery and it arrived less than 15 minutes after that. Tonight however I had quite the opposite experience. I'd placed an order around 8:15 and it never arrived I guess because they were short drivers. Finally I had to drive to the store myself - after hours mind you - and take it up with the person who was cleaning up at the time. Thankfully he was gracious enough to drop what he was doing and make my order for me but it shouldn't have to come to that. I just hope they can resolve whatever problems they're having at their store and get back on track because my experience tonight was truly...
