We overheard the manager (?), insinuate that we were going to steal the boots he was trying on. Totally shocked, we mentioned it directly to the associate and the person that made the comment. Her response was, she wanted to know who the tennis shoes belonged to (left in the boots section), otherwise they would be thrown in the trash -we were the only people in the store. Both of us overheard the exact conversation (ear piece volume was audible), and that was not what was said. She continued to lie, and no apology or explanation was given. We did purchase the boots. We were both so disappointed with the treatment received and wanted to return and purchase elsewhere. This style wasn't available online nor around our area. This will be the last $218 The Boot Barn will ever receive from us. We both are proud to work in the oil field and be apart of this community. Good selection, I picked up two shirts there and really liked them however, was very displeased with Chris a young lady hat fixed a felt hat I brought in and it looked really good but by time I got there it had sagged a little in the side and I asked if they could just fix that a little more. The hat looked darn near perfect except for this side. Absolutely rude employees was looking at work boots and they kept walking back and forth past the isles I was at never said a word, never asked if I needed anything, never asked if I needed assistance with boot sizing. I had to approach and ask. When I did ask they were rude and couldn’t answer a simple question. I have been to this store in the past several times about 5 yrs ago, everyone was so polite and greeted you. So what happened to good customer service? People need boots and clothing for work and I guarantee they spend several hundred dollars easy coming into this place.
