if you have tight curls pls do not book here. I went for my birthday in April for chunky purple highlights and layers for shape and volume. When I entered the atmosphere was warm and inviting and I felt welcomed. When I sat down I explained what I wanted and she started dry brushing my hair so she could cut it. I told my stylist that I wasnât comfortable with my hair being dry brushed but she told me thatâs what she had to do so she could cut it. Then when she cut my hair she cut about 2 inches off all around and gave me face framing pieces after I asked for layers and the whole time she said my hair was dry. Finally when she started to take the foils out of my hair she dyed my hair with a previous color I got when I came a couple years back. After all of that she styled my hair and when I looked at my hair there was a chunk of hair on each side that was obviously longer than the rest but I didnât think much of it. I styled my hair the next day and and the bleached parts of my hair literally wouldnât curl up and were limp i waited until my next wash day and it was the same thing but i noticed so much breakage in my hair it was as if i couldnât even touch my hair without it breaking off (my hair never had been prone to dryness or breakage until after the service). So I texted my stylist telling her about it, and every time I contacted her she would tell me the same thing every time; that my hair was just dry and to use a hair mask and if my hair was breaking off I needed to come back for a trim. Now in August those 2 sections of hair have 4 inches gone due to breakage and still wonât curl after taking her advice and even using a protein treatment. Im very disappointed with my service I left with over processed hair, spots in my hair that werenât even dyed, breakage, and overall the incorrect service . Itâs sad to see the lack of care twords my curly hair after i literally booked with someone who was labeled as a curly...
Read moreI went to Demi brows in the past and had a 5 star experience. The girls are all sweet and created a good environment. One day I went on instagram and looked at a story that Demi brows had posted of a girl with oily hair claiming that it was unacceptable to show up to a hair appointment with hair like that. I think we can all agree weâve shown up to a hair appointment with oily hair. Even if this girls hair was overly oily isnât it their job as a hair stylist to work with all types of hair even if it required an extra wash? Not to mention, what if this girl was struggling with mental health issues and decided enough was enough and it was time to start clean. It could have taken a lot of courage for her to show up to that appointment just to be put on blast for everyone to see. To whoever this girl is, iâm sorry this happened to you. To say it made me uncomfortable is an understatement. Hair dressers are supposed to uplift and encourage women through their art. Not embarrass them on social media because of some dirty hair. Try and put yourself in this girls shoes, how would this post make you feel...
