Five Guys — Restaurant in Doral

I’m not usually the person to leave reviews, although I do tend browse them prior to selecting a place to eat. I normally love going to Five Guys But today I had a frustrating experience. I had placed an order online 20 mins prior to arriving to this location thinking it would be significantly faster. Upon arrival, I waited to be greeted by a young Hispanic gentleman who, after asking for my name, told me they were still preparing my order. I waited about 30 mins, in which 1 new walk-in customer came, ordered, got his food and left, and 2 other online orders picked up their items. After I realized there was an order sitting on the shelf since the moment I arrived, I approached the same gentleman who told me my order was still being prepared and asked him if he could check on my order. SURPRISINGLY, it was mine. I was so furious that he had made me wait 30 mins to pick up an order that had already been completed prior to my arrival. To top things off, our burgers had pieces of overcooked burger patties and the vegetables looked like they were thrown together, the our fries had an exaggerated amount of seasoning, and my milkshake didn’t even have whip cream. As I was ordering my burger the lady taking my order (her name was Suvileisy P.) was telling me she’s never seen my order before and that they don’t “do it like that”, I was confused as I always get this as my order and told her that it’s my go-to and that they always make it. For reference my order was the following: Grilled cheese, add 1 patty, lettuce, onion, jalapeño , ketchup and mayo. As I continued ordering she kept on making faces as if she was disgusted with my order saying things like “ew, it’s gonna look crazy” “I could never” in my mind I’m thinking, why is she making comments if it’s not even something she’s gonna eat…. It was extremely inappropriate and rude to do that, she was making me feel bad about my order, and all for what??? Also we got a strawberry milkshake and when I got it, it was liquid. It resembled strawberry milk rather than a “shake”. I went and told her that the shake was too watery and if I could get another one. She then proceeds to say rolling her eyes, “we always make it like that”. The general manager wearing black came in and remade the shake for me, she was super kind and made it perfect. I used to love a good burger from here. Now I refuse to go back, at least to this 5 guys. One person spoke English, while the other 3 spoke Spanish & chatted about random bullshit. Everything is cooked to order, so it's safe to say there's a bit of a wait once ordered. Everything is fresh, & hasn't been sitting around like at other burger places. When I went, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, not busy at all, no line, just walk up & order. At least 20 minutes went by because the 3 employees were busy discussing what a relative was doing & how they were going to get here to Miami. The person who took my order could see from my expression that I was less than pleased. There was zero cooking of my burger, & or the veggie burger. Just talking. 15 minutes of this before finally my order got started & handed to my with an attitude stating if I had a complaint, to speak to the manager. The manager needs to get a new staff that works, or that store needs a new manager that realizes the store is poorly staffed. Very dissatisfied.
