This review is long overdue, but this place is consistently on point. We visit at least once a week. Last night I chose this place over everywhere else because it was getting late, I was hungry, and I knew MIA’s kitchen wouldn’t disappoint.
The beer is solid, and they usually have every type you can think of, plus hard seltzers, rum, vodka, and wines. They regularly experiment with flavors (please make the Strawberry Cream Pie again next year!), so I always look to see what is new to try. They let you sample anything, and there’s also the option to get a 5 oz pour, which is helpful when I’m at the point that I’d like a little more but not a full pour.
The tap room itself is comfortable. We usually sit at the bar, but there are plenty of booths, high tops and tables, in addition to the outdoor seating on the weekends. They have big screen tv’s and tend to show a news channel and sports game simultaneously on multiple screens. They have windows that allow you to see the brewing equipment, for those of you that are interested in that.
The menu has evolved over the years and they have a few really solid dishes. They always come out hot and fresh. I have never had something come out cold or seem as if it has been sitting there. They make it and bring it out - even if that means that it doesn’t all come out at once. The smash burger with truffle fries, chicken nachos and ham croquettes are our favorites.
The staff is always helpful and attentive and watch to see if you need anything. They always recognize us and stop by to say hi, even if they aren’t working where we sit that night. We REALLY appreciate this. They have a really good group, and everyone seems happy to be working there.
We have found that a lot of places have substituted quality and service in response to post-pandemic challenges and inflation, but MIA Beer Company has maintained its standards, exceptional quality and stellar service throughout. For that, it has earned its place as our favorite brewery...
Read moreIf you like craft beers, this is the place to go! Pretty cool to have a place like this in the Doral area but depending on where you are coming from, you might miss it because it is nestled inside what seems to be row and rows of nondescript offices and warehouses.
They have an amazing selection of beer and plenty of food to choose from. The alcohol is priced very reasonable but I thought the food was a bit overpriced. They had everything from edamame to spare ribs to sandwiches and salads.
They have trivia night on Tuesdays and it is lots of fun! We went with a very large group and had a blast. Even though the place was packed and we kept running to the Trivia Host to give her our answers, service was still great. They accommodated everyone's separate checks when my friend ordered something that was a bit too spicy, they had no problem taking it back and beginning her something else.
All in all this place was great and I will be back for sure!
Oh, one little caveat as this one caught me by surprise:
The edamame they have on the menu says it has parmesan cheese. I assumed it would be grated on their, much like the salt but it wasnt. It was just edamame doused in alfredo sauce. If that's not your bag - beware! The menu isn't...
Read moreThis place was somewhere we noticed on our walk and decided to grab food to take home. When entering, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Even though this was a pub, we didn't get drinks. When we ordered, the bartender said this was their most popular burger. We ordered the Guavanator burger with onion rings and added on a Jamon Croqueta. We got home and we found out we did not have a croquet (even though we checked the receipt and paid for it) so we cannot rate how that is. The Burger was unique and had great flavor. However, it wasn't overly amazing to the point that we would go out of our way to get again. The bacon on the burger had a nice thickness to it. The House Spicy Guava Sauce was not the least bit spicy which was a surprise for us. The burger was a decent size and was filling. The onion rings were good too. Overall, if you want good food and what looked like a big drink menu, this would be a good place to visit, but for us, being that we didn't get an item we ordered and the burger was just good, we will not be...
