La Terraza Organic Restaurant-Doral — Restaurant in Doral

I went last night for a birthday celebration and I had read the reviews before going (bad idea because what I experience was nothing like the reviews I have read). And in all fairness unless there is another event here I will probably not go out of my way to come again. First the place is in the corner of a business complex in Doral. Plenty of parking area. It sits in a corner. The outside is beautiful decor however crazy January 2025 weather it was in the lower 50 and it was cold. Nothing in the outside terrace (what they are famous for) to keep warm. And only have of the area is roof off and with the light rain not ideal. The inside of the place is big however for last night event half of it was closed off making the inside of the place feel packed in sardines to keep warm. It's a beer/wine kind of place. They have food trucks or catering come out and make food. Not serve food but make food. Last night seem to have Puerto Rican night. The catering served two Puerto Rican bowls. Sancohol (stew style soup) and mofongo (banana style dish with either chicken pieces, pork pieces or fish, chiccarones pieces ( not real but bagged style tiny pieces ) and some mayo sauce for $22.00 a bowl. Those were your choices. Nothing else. Nothing more. The place did not offer cheese/meat plates. Actually the place offered zero food. And you had to go up to order and get your food so no service provided. The food was hot plated outside but with the weather once you sat down to eat, not hot anymore. There was a dj. Poor guy not sure how he did not freeze off last night. It was cold. Now the drinks. Again this is a beer/wine bar. And had wall to wall bottles of wines and beer. Again no service you had to go get your drink. When asked for red wine. There were only 2 choices. Merlot and something else. $11.00 a glass. I guess we were there early enough for 2 for 1. The catch it had to be in a plastic cup not a glassware. Wine 101: wine served in a plastic cup will always alter the taste of the wine. And the wine was ok. Nothing out of this world. You were not really advised on any other kind of wine. So it was a take it or leave it sort of thing. Restrooms are located just outside of the bar adjacent to the office building. The location is in a very good spot, decorated outside with lights, and the music was great. The singer featured, sang wonderful and had great energy. Out of all the restaurants I have been to post-COVid, the servers have all worn their masks regardless of whether seating is inside or outside. Unfortunately, the server did not wear her mask, did not bring us what we requested such as napkins and utensils, and took a very long time to bring anything ordered. I noticed she was smoking her cigarette with no urgency to attend the clients, while it was a full house. Since the ambiance was good overall, we were disregarding these little details. I think the most upsetting part was that there was a rat that continued to roam around, I informed them and they asked me “what are we suppose to do?”. I understood at the time since they were right, it is outside seating and you can not control what animals would be around the area. The second time, the rat passed by right under our feet and of course, we as clients were startled that we reacted. Possibly the owner came up to us (without a mask as well) letting us know they were going to bring us the bill and that they could not have us standing up or down in the area.. without an apology for the circumstance or even trying to create a good client experience. We basically got kicked out. I paid my tab in full and left decent tip despite the type of service received, since I do respect the restaurant business overall, but did not appreciate how they handled things and how unprofessional...

Our next family food adventure take us to  LA Terraza Organic Restaurant located at Doral breakfast time The terrace is an oasis of tranquility in the middle of a city with a lot of traffic and a lot of stress from the dawn to the end of the day. With a very colorful and striking decoration inside where you can find several corners for a personal photo and post them on social media.

It has a patio where the shade that comes from each plant or tree in the place maintains a cool temperature to enjoy the day in the company of friends and family.

Well the food was unbelievably delicious you can feel the freshness of the ingredients on your plate, everything was cooked at the perfect temperature.

Sophia our very professional and friendly waitress and offered us the best option on the menu, we ordered a latte and to our surprise Paula is a young barista with an incredible unique talent of creating a work of art from a coffee. High recommend place if you are...
