We were here from out of town, and after a trip to the Everglades we Googled restaurants trying to find a good place to eat within 45 minutes from where our Everglades excursion was. Dozens of suggestions came up on our search but we were looking for quality and Bocas House stood out to us. At first I thought, how can they have so many thousands of great reviews? Well now I know why, and now my review is one of them! With no exaggeration, I give Bocas House 5 Stars across the board. Located on the edge of a strip of business suites, Bocas House seems quaint on the outside, but don’t let that fool you. It’s a mecca of unique Latin American fusion dishes. Upon entering, we were kindly greeted by multiple welcoming staff members. Everyone was so friendly. Our server Elias was amazing and so helpful. He offered us menu suggestions and helped us navigate through all of the delicious drink and food options. His suggestions were on par. We ordered drinks: Major De Piña, Chuao, and Mango Juice. Appetizers: Mexican Ceviche (BEST I’ve had) and the Cachapa Cake (a DELICIOUS play on cornbread with creamy cheese on top), and for dinner we had the Vaca Frita (enough to share, and the plantains are delicious), Skirt Fettuccine, and the Chicken Mac & Cheese (from the appetizer menu - portion was perfect even as a main dish). Save room for dessert because their milkshakes are INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! More than a milkshake… it’s an experience! They’re like 3 desserts in one. We ordered the Dulce De Leche Milkshake which included Dulce de leche cake, ice cream, and huge wafers covered in decadent thick Dulce de leche sauce which is more like a caramel cream, and then the Tres Leches Milkshake which is a milkshake with an added ice cream waffle cone inside the milkshake and topped with tres leches cake. It was so fun to pick apart the layers and even though I’m not an over-indulger of sweets, it was so worth it. The combination of layers actually went very well together and we had so much fun sharing them! I really admired the staff’s ability to stay organized, food came out promptly, and they kept everything clean the entire time. Everyone seemed to work cohesively. My only complaint is that I don’t have a Bocas House near me in Illinois, so sad lol. I’ll be sure to recommend it to friends and hopefully come back again next time I visit the Miami area! I included a few of the pictures I was lucky enough to take just in time before they were devoured by...
Read morethe food is pretty good but the service isn’t a 5/5. i would give a lower review if the food wasn’t as good. I made an online order through toast and received an email that the order would be ready in 20 minutes. it took me 30 minutes to get there and when i checked in with the hostess she seemed confused that i was picking up an online order — i could tell they had no idea of the order. she spoke with her manager and looks like they were scrambling to get it done. if someone came and updated me “hey, i’m so sorry but the order didn’t come though but we’re working on it now” i wouldn’t have had a problem. my issue is they were going to have me stand there for 20 minutes without notifying me. so i went back to the hostess to ask for a time check. she tells me 10 minutes.. i asked if she was going to let me know of the delay. didn’t seem like she was.. her manager then came to speak with me and he told me that the toast order just came through on their end then he told me it’ll take 20 minutes when the hostess told me 10.. when in reality they just didn’t check the toast orders. not sure how that system works but i’d think it’ll work by notification. manager was not apologetic or anything. didn’t even try to give me any compensation or offer a coupon for my next meal for the inconvenience . he basically gave an “that’s not my problem” attitude. order was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes from the time i ordered. i got there 30 minutes after the time i ordered. left there almost 50 minutes with my food from the time i ordered. i honestly wouldn’t have had an issue if they handled the situation better. but it was the fact that i had to go speak with them to get a time check. paid $100+ for food and tipped them for a pick up order for...
Read moreBocas House in Doral invited me back and wow—what a difference since my last visit! We went on Saturday (8/16/25) and everything from the service to the food was absolutely incredible. Oriana took care of us and she was super friendly, attentive, and quick to serve.
We ordered the Foodie Style Beef Milanese, the Filet Mignon with Truffle Fettuccine, and the Bocas House Roll (which I highly recommend to anyone dining here). Every dish was bursting with flavor. The Milanese came out perfectly crispy, with fresh golden fries on the side that had just the right crunch. The filet mignon was cooked beautifully, and the truffle fettuccine it was served with was unforgettable—the pasta was creamy, the truffle flavor rich and aromatic, and the mushrooms gave it that earthy depth that tied everything together. The Bocas House Roll was a fun surprise, fresh, flavorful, and a must-try.
We finished our meal with their Cookies & Cream Blondie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The combination of the warm blondie with the cold, creamy ice cream was the perfect sweet ending.
Another thing that stood out was how clean and welcoming the restaurant was this time around—everything felt well-kept, polished, and inviting.
Overall, it was such a positive experience, and I’m happy to say we’ll definitely be coming...
