I really enjoy the numerous opportunities in Miami to go out and enjoy Peruvian food. Merkado 31 has been on my list for a while and love that it's located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. I ended up ordering the pisco sour for drinks which were made excellent! So refreshing and full of flavor! Then ordered the ceviche classico to have as an appetizer which was the highlight of the night! I think this may be my favorite spot to go to for ceviche! It was so fresh and delicious! If you're a big fan of ceviche, you MUST go and give this spot a try. Finally onto the entree, I ordered the lomo saltado risotto which was good and tasty but I'll be honest not my favorite compared to other Peruvian spots I've tried. I won't stop you from trying it though, it's still a great dish and a great spot to check out. The ceviche though, that's a different story. Hands...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place but there were some things I had issues with. I ordered the tallarines salteados with chicken. This dish could not have been more bland. It’s like they used low sodium soy sauce and decided to also not add salt. Being Peruvian myself, this could have been so much better with just a little extra seasoning. Also, I was shocked they had a %15 gratuity that was automatically added to the bill. I ate alone and had that put on my bill. Can someone explain why? They might get another chance from me but not very likely. All that said, loved the atmosphere, layout and decor. Service was mostly good but it appeared they were having system issues and took a long time to get me my bill. But I also think they’re new so I’ll cut them some slack there. Service was phenomenal up...
Read morePeruvian restaurant with a good elaborated menu with peruvian classics and some interesting approaches to the classics with a twist. Everything very fresh and made to order. Very good selection of beer and wine and tastefull dessert options. On the other hand the place is small and noisy and the service is definitely not at the level of the food. Other tables were also showing to be not happy with the service more specifically with the servers plus the service fee is already included on the bill. Take in consideration that since everything is made fresh they run out of menu items, condiments and others at some point during the day. We arrived at 3 PM on a Sunday afternoon and they had run out of canchita corn, chicha(beverage), some sauces and specific dishes. The food is worth...
