BUYER BEWARE: Be careful and be sure to review menu prices and your total before finalizing your payment on the credit card reader or else they WILL charge you for whatever tip they feel like without you noticing. No receipts are given. Looking at other reviews here, I see itâs happened to several customers. I see an answer saying they pre-select an option to âmake the process smoother,â well how about you pre-select 0 and have your staff TELL the customer âyou may select a tip here,â pre-select a lower tip % (because looking at the menu now, total should have been under $18 and they charged charged $22.72, we could have gotten another churro for that!) OR have the server be clear and say âthe tip is pre-selected, you can change it here.â No transparency about their tipping practices. You may say thatâs the customerâs fault but you know what youâre doing and thatâs a shame.. lesson learned for my teenager to not blindly submit payment on these things ESPECIALLY for a PICK UP order at a food truck. I can only imagine what tips they are charging the older folks who are not used to these card readers. As a customer, feeling tricked or like an X amount of your $ got taken without consent is not a nice feeling. The food: the mini churros are good. You will have to wait a while for your order. Monday evening 6/17/24, the person (male server) I gave my order to deliberately pressed the â15% tipâ option before handing the payment module over to sign.
First time Iâve ever observed this when paying via Apple Pay at any establishment.
I even selected âno tipâ after seeing that this person deliberately selected the 15% tip option, and then I accidentally pressed a button to clear the screen after signing, and he re-selected the 15% tip option and quickly pressed the submit button.
He gave himself a 15% tip without my consent.
Happened to 3 different people in my group that purchased after me as well.
Iâm more than happy to give tip but it should never be pre-selected or assumed.
Management: please remedy this presumptions and brazen behavior. This is unacceptable.

I had a $30 Groupon, but the cashier only put in $18, which I noticed on the receipt. They told me there was nothing they could do, so I could get the $10 extra j already paid for by getting more items their menu but I already got $40 worth of ice cream and churrosâŚhow much more can I get? Plus I live almost an hour away, that nothing on their menu could transport. So I had to get $10 of a drink that was very average. I am a small business owner so it feels deceiving and dishonest to say they could not refund/void a transaction and redo it correctly. I will not go back because of this.
