I'm sure you've been to Meet Fresh by now or at least heard of it. It's still fairly new as of this review. You can find it located in the H-Mart shopping plaza in Doraville, GA.
I've mentioned this previously in a few other reviews, but this shopping center has had a boom in the past few years. It used to just be Shoya (great Japanese restaurant BTW) for the longest time. Now we have a lot of fun and delectable spots that opened up. I'm always open to trying new places so I was curious to see what Meet Fresh was all about.
For those of you who don't know, Meet Fresh (est. 2007) is a Taiwanese based desserts manufacturer created by sibling pair Sister and Brother Fu. Meet Fresh prioritizes serving healthy desserts that are made fresh & daily. With a focus on traditional Taiwanese methods of taste and sourcing high quality ingredients, Meet Fresh has grown quite the following worldwide due to this philosophy. They have locations in U.S, Canada, China, Vietnam, and Japan.
The location in Doraville, is pretty spacious. It's a lot bigger from inside when compared to how the store front appears. The interior decor has a nice simple color scheme. It's bright and open. Seating can be found through out. You got booths, single tables, and some bar height seating arrangements as well. Definitely enough to fit a pack house. Which it usually is on most of my visits.
The menu is rather large. Without going too deep into specifics. It basically consists of a variety of desserts from tea based drinks to small treats like mung bean cake, to their more well-know grass jelly and taro based based desserts. I didn't get a chance to try everything to be honest. The mind was willing, but the stomach could only take in so much.
You order at the main counter, near the front door. They give a little buzzer, that alarms you when your order is ready. Prices for most items are pretty average, nothing too expensive. It's mostly just self-service here, you order, pick up, and drop off when you are done. Really simple.
Here's what I've had there so far. I'll start with the Milk Tea w/Grass Jelly. It's taste about the same as any other milk tea, I did feel like the grass jelly had some great texture to it though. The milk tea was just okay in my opinion, nothing too special there. Next thing I had, and have had repeatedly since is their Signature Icy Grass Jelly dessert. It's so simple yet so delicious. It's essentially their grass jelly on top of some sweetened ice (more like snow) with taro ball toppings. It's really light and refreshing, I'm not sure if I would consider this healthy but it beats a lot of other desserts out there for sure. You certainly don't hate yourself or feel too guilty about eating this. I also got Icy Grass Jelly #3 (red beans, peanuts, and boba), this one is a bit more heavy, but not too overbearing, it's taste great as well. No real complaints about the Grass Jelly desserts. Portion sizes are large enough to be shared, but because the grass jelly is so light, you probably want your own instead.
Overall, big fan of the place. I can tell it's going to be popular this summer. Since you know GA can get hot. The desserts are really refreshing and cool to the taste so that can help make these hot summer days more bearable. I still have a lot of the menu I have yet to try out, but I'm looking forward to trying it. You should definitely check it out when you get the chance as well.

Read moreMy friends were very excited about this place opening up in Atlanta. Been there twice with them. First time was within one week after the opening. There were two registers in the front but one register open, which was causing extremely long waiting line. We waited about 40 mins before placing our order. We got the shaved ice with mochi (top 10 items), two drinks, and two grass jelly bowls (top 10 items). It was very pricey. Winter melon tea was OK, kinda watery down though. Milk foam tea doesn't have much of taste, no tea taste nor sweetness to it. Shaved ice is extremely sweet, but the proportion was generous. Meet fresh's grass jelly was EXTREMELY soft. The texture is NOT the same as the store's in California per my friends. We had to through most of the grass jelly bowls away, sadly and such a waste. Waiting time for our food was about 45 mins after paid. Even it was a very unpleasant experience, I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they were probably trying to figure things out. Second time was a couple of days ago. Not many customers in the store anymore. I guess the hype is gone. My friend ordered the #4, which I could barely see any mochi, and it was not sweet at all. My bf ordered the milk tea with grass jelly. I ordered milk tea with red bean. It still took 30+ mins to receive our order, given there were only 3 orders ahead of us. Grass jelly was still EXTREMELY soft, and the tea tastes very powdery. My bf had to throw his drink away, again such a waste... I received milk tea with grass jelly, instead of red bean. I went back and told them this was not what I ordered and request a exchange, but got REJECTED! I was shocked!!! I gave Meet Fresh a second chance to change my mind but I don't think I would...
Read moreI never write reviews, but my experience here was so bad that I feel like I have to share it. Upon entering, I grabbed one of the menus and asked the guy worker some questions about whether I could customize the shaved ice. It was my first time at the place, so I wanted to also know what flavors or toppings were good. The guy was on his phone and didn’t answer me until he finally looked up and decided to help me. He answered me by just pointing at the menu and saying you can customize it. He gave off the attitude like I was bothering him for wanting him to do his job. I honestly should have just left at this point, but I decided to just place an order and give it a try.
I ordered the Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice and sat down. Two customers came in after me and also placed their orders. The workers announced whenever an order was ready the order number, so I assumed they were going to call mine out as well, since they had mobile orders as well and I didn’t want to accidentally grab someone else’s food. I didn’t realize until after the people that came in after me had their orders called that the worker didn’t bother to tell me that my order was ready even though the place wasn’t busy at all. It wasn’t until I went up to the counter to ask the girl worker if my order was done that she told me “sorry, your order has been ready”. The workers and customer service here sucks. Because the guy worker didn’t bother to tell me my order was ready, my shaved ice was melted and was just liquid. I definitely don’t recommend this place. It was a waste of money and the workers here are too busy on their phones to...
