Captain D's — Restaurant in Dothan

Me and my family (of three) ordered two number 8s and one number 2. Sides were Macaroni and cheese and french fries on the 8s. Sides on 2 were supposed to be macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. What we got was NOT. What we ordered. They charged us for food we didn't get. Whole thing was roughly $35. (We received three number 3s but instead of crab cakes they gave us an extra piece of fish and put the coleslaw in the container. The coleslaw was also "warm" according to my mother.)

BUT WAIT!!!! Theres more! Haven't even got to the food quality yet.

Butterly shrimp was chewy, cod/flounder fillets were chewy but some of the breading almost broke our teeth, we can't even describe the macaroni and cheese (it did not taste like anything I've personally ever had) and the french fries were soggy, chewy, DAMP, and overall not french fries. The best part of these meals were the cocktail sauce. (Which the girl gave us A LOT OF)

Also the food was extremely greasy which has given us terrible side effects the next day.

Unless you want food that homeless people would question, I don't recommend this place. You'd be rather off going to Eufaula to the Long John Silvers up there. Place looks terrible but the...

Horrible customer service. We ordered at 1:50 PM on May 16th, 2021 at the drive through on Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL The employee working the drive through never called back the order to me wife. She mumbled something like pull to the window, but we were not sure. My wife responded, I am sorry, to no response. She asked approximately one minute later, did you get my order? Still no response. Upon arriving at the window, (after sitting in line for at least 15 minutes) we were met with a sour disposition and gave the total. When our food arrived at the window, the employee NEVER asked if we need any cocktail or tarter sauce. She just handed the bag to my wife. No smile, no thank you, nothing, zero. My wife had to ask about cocktail and tarter sauce. The employee handed her about four or five containers which had cocktail sauce, no tarter sauce. Still no smile, no thank you...nothing. We have had great customer service at this location in the past. We will give this location one more chance, after that if customer service has not improved, we will go elsewhere. This employee either needs to reprimanded...

After another nearby “Captain” restaurant completely dropped the ball on my Grubhub order (resulting in my 3yo waiting over an hour to get the fried fish he wanted), I placed an order for delivery with this Captain D’s location.

We ordered a Supreme Sampler along with an order of Funnel Cake Stix. My son loved the variety of foods that were in the sampler and was also a huge fan of the funnel cake. The food was hot, tasted fresh, was packaged well, and they even included each of the five sauces I requested in my order. The portion size was great for the price, as it was more than enough food for the two of us to share.

Everything in my delivery was correct and they had it ready to send out before the other restaurant (Hook’s) would have, even though my order with the other restaurant was placed nearly two hours before I received my Captain D’s delivery.
