Best in the Area – Hands Down

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place was different, in the best way possible. My family of three has been on a mission to try every restaurant of this type in the area, and this was our seventh stop. Without hesitation, we all agreed: this one is the best.

The service was exceptional. Our waiter greeted us with genuine friendliness and maintained a perfect balance of attentiveness throughout the entire meal always nearby when needed but never intrusive. Even the manager gave a quick stop by the table to make sure all was good. Food arrived quickly, with almost no wait time, and everything hit the table hot and fresh.

The cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable. Floors were spotless, tables well-kept, a level of care that didn’t go unnoticed.

One of the most impressive things was how well-orchestrated the staff appeared. Everyone was in uniform, working efficiently, and no one was standing around idly. You could tell this team ran like a well-oiled machine, and the positive energy flowed from the kitchen to the dining room.

As for the food was absolutely delicious. Every bite was flavorful and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, so generous, in fact, that I left with a stomach ache (and I like to eat!). No corners were cut, and the kitchen delivered excellence across the board.

In a world where customer service and consistency often take a backseat, this restaurant nailed both. If you’re trying to decide where to go, stop looking. You’ve found it. This place sets the standard.

Finally, if you are in Dothan you have to try La Parilla Mexican Restaurant it...

La Parrilla had always been my favorite Mexican restaurant here in Dothan, Alabama but if they can't get their plates Savory and Not Burned and Crispy for Little Steak Strips then idk!! $14.00 is a lot of money to spend on food if it's going to be bland and Beyond Burned! I didn't eat much of it because of it's smokey after flavor! I brought it home not saying anything Negative about the food!! I had My grandson try it and he thought like myself and said the steak cooked too long and tasted Charred with every bite as well as dry and tough! I told him that was my opinion as well but I wanted to get his Take about the food and so I wanted to get his honest opinion!? He said as small as the strips were it would be hard not to burn! I hadn't been to La Parrilla in probably 6 months or so! and This was so Disappointing! I brought the Burned On Stuck To The Skillet Steak to Our Servers Attention but he didn't even attempt to correct anything all he said was this is how we cooked it! #78 Fajitas! I Don't Know What Has Happened To Their Quality since our last visit but this was certainly not the restaurant that I remembered!! This Was Really A Bad Experience so.. I Hope This Restaurant Can Get On Board and Get Their Quality Up To Par!! No one wants to spend $35.00 or so and Be Left...

First and Last time coming here.

Where to begin? Lets start from the beginning. 45 minute wait (got me thinking the place must be good). WRONG!

The salsa and chips that you get at the beginning when you sit down is literally from Wal-Mart right across the street. At the discovery of this I probably should of walked out instead of ordering, my mistake. I asked the waiter what he would recommend, as it's my first time ordering here. He had no recommendations (another sign the food might be bad). My company and I still ordered food. Once the food got to our table I could tell right off the bat that it wasn't real "authentic" Mexican food. Took my first bite of the burrito and gagged swallowing it. The steak street tacos are decent without the chipotle mayo but the tortillas aren't even freshly made. I know Alabama isn't Mexico but come on do you really buy your tortillas from Wal-Mart also and throw them on a pan? Towards the end the server asked how the food was and I told him "I wouldn't feed this to my dogs its that disgusting", and his response "oh good good" and walks away.

Needless to say I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. If someone invites you here you're better off ordering off the alcohol menu because the...

The previous charm of this place was much preferred; the warm and inviting atmosphere has been replaced by a bright setting reminiscent of a McDonald's cafe or a hospital cafeteria. We used to adore this spot, but with the recent remodel and price changes, it feels like a step in the wrong direction. Additionally, the drinks were a disappointment; they lacked pleasant flavors and seemed akin to poorly mixed, overpoured college drinks. The overall experience, including the beverage quality, has left us unsatisfied after the remodel and changes in prices. Furthermore, the Carne Asada we ordered was notably overpriced considering the small portion size. The combination of high prices and diminished portion sizes has further contributed to our disappointment with the recent changes in the restaurant. Despite our concerns with the remodel, pricing, and food portions, it's important to note that the service remained excellent. The staff's attentiveness and professionalism were commendable, offering a positive aspect amid our overall mixed experience.

It was very good. They have the good chips and good salsa. They are the thin crispy fresh warm chips that I love. The chicken quesadilla was pretty good they used some kind of softer cheese then the mozzarella I’m used to. The flavor of the chicken was good I just prefer mozzarella in my chicken quesadillas although it may be very authentic the way it came. If you prefer the softer variety of white cheese that is sometimes used in a quesadilla then you will like it. But if you prefer mozzarella cheese or cheddar cheese in your quesadilla than you may not prefer this option. Next time I’m going to try a chicken enchilada. My dining companion really liked his huge burrito. I very much enjoyed the Mexican rice it was delicious and had corn kernels in it. If you don’t like corn or you can’t eat corn then you should probably not order the rice. We had very good service. If you like sodas are you gonna pay $2.99 for one at this place. $2.49 is my limit for a Carbonated beverage at a restaurant so I opted for a water instead.

Pretty good, best sit down near Novosel better than mi casa, and el mariachi I think?? (that's how memorable it was). They don't have horchata, boooo, BUT compensate with big Aguas Frescas. Every time I get a burrito, it looks so sad and bare on the plate, PUT SOME RICE AND BEANS ON THAT PLATE. NO MEXICAN PLATE SHOULD EVER BE BARE!!! Piña Colada: big and good, shareable. Tap water: actually palbable compared to other local tap water Chips and salsa: same ole Burrito with skirt steak: BIG. GOOD, tomatoe sauce too bland, but STEAK VERY SAVORY AND tender. Dont forget the garnish of the sliver of avocado (that was funny, guess they're too expensive?) Rice and Beans: YAAAAAAYYY, not the average cruchy yellow rice with runny refried beans like EVERYWHERE ELSE. The rice was fluffy and good. Beans were de la hoya style, but savory, bravo. Burrito El Cubano: Really good, i recommend, but I didn't get rice and beans :o(. Flan: wish it was bigger, but compensated with flavor and presentation. Will be back Sustain!!
